Considering using STT for planning and strategy, but making executions through brokerage apps on my phone. This accomplishes 1) never accidentally using an account that has run out of day trades (because I’ll have to CHOOSE the specific app each morning), but 2) not mixing execution platforms between STT, ETrade Pro and/or Thinkorswim with my laptop CPU going “jet engine”; and also 3) alleviating the execution delay from STT and sometimes wondering if my order is pending or got filled (sometimes STT doesn’t register the status in the order box and just randomly says “completed”) by submitting orders directly at the source (iPhone apps). The apps also are very straight forward with what I want to do (make executions). Not too many bells or whistles, just: action, quantity and price. Going to test it out this week with micro-positions to see how it goes. Testing STT execution time again this week as well.

Can you have Etrade Pro if you are under 250k?

@Bingtrader16 yep. As long as you have an account with them, they told me that you can get Etrade Pro upon request. It’s available to download from their website, but you have to call them to get it activated and you have to be an “Active Trader” (you have to tell them that you’ll be trading more than 30 times per quarter).

Feels really comfortable having ETrade Pro up and running on my main laptop screen, just to monitor activity and order fills from coming StocksToTrade; just in case StocksToTrade crashes mid-trade on my big monitor. I'll be able to easily switch to ETrade Pro to finish the trade within five seconds.

Best play this morning was FCSC. Dipped down to my designated support level t 2.70, but decided to just watch. Profit Potential: $440-700 (2200 shares). 2DR entry was expected at the same buy level of 2.70. Playing initial dips only, but studying the 2DRs for after PDT. Testing out StocksToTrade execution speed with my ETrade account =) .. Feels good. Reconsidering Interactive Brokers for the second account instead of TDAmeritrade, just for StocksToTrade compatibility.

Finally got ETrade funded and ETrade Pro setup up. Ready to rumble. Still need to fund my TDAmeritrade account *SIGH*. Gonna trade micro-positions via StocksToTrade tomorrow and next week to make sure everything is good. Then, it's off to the races. Glad I'm refocusing on my fundamentals to keep myself prepared.

@goldman Hey, welcome! Not sure why it doesn’t work for you. I would suggest contacting Profit.ly support for help. I tried bulk uploading my trades but it didn’t work for me either, so I manually entered all of them and started entering them individually after each trade.

Sitting here going through the lessons learned today. One thing I've noticed during executions is that it helps to 1) identify where you WANT to get executed and setup the draft order with your finger on the trigger and 2) WATCH LEVEL 2 to see when your preferred order size becomes available under the Ask so that you can submit your order for the easy execution. Like, if I want 10,000 shares, I can wait until Level 2 hits my buy area and a seller for 12,500 shares pops up. Ideally you can submit your order and let it get filled in time, but if a seller pops up with all of your proposed position, it's likely (at least in my experience) that it'll get filled in a half-second. We'll see how ETrade handles it when I start using real funds.

UGGHHH. Wire transfer won't complete til Thursday lol... Welp... Paper trades most of next week then. Feeling good about this! On the phone with ETrade for 20 minutes while they explained a few things that I actually didn't know. Downloading Etrade Pro in a bit. Feeling reeeaallly good =)

Just realized that it's pointless to plan for 75% account size positions when my overall equity will be split 50/50 into two separate accounts lol. Also, deciding to go with a new E*Trade account first over using my current TDAmeritrade account. I don't feel confident using StocksToTrade for executions. I may test it out, but I've noticed a few glitches when executing paper orders and STT Support doesn't seem helpful in maneuvering them. Plus, I like the idea of using the official broker platform, because it'll help me keep track of how many day trades I have left. Three on PLATFORM A (ETrade Pro) and three on PLATFORM B (maybe Thinkorswim). I'll start executing through ETrade next week with microsized positions to test out my consistency and then size up maybe on the 15th if everything is going smoothly. I'll only be using real trades with one account until I can fund the second in about 2-4 weeks. Still paper trading with the other three trades for each week in the meantime. Master the simulation, automate reality.

Overall good classes by Tim and Mark this week. Didn't buy as I am more into learning and establishing my study habits. Plus, don't want to get burned out... Will complete the initial syllabus of DVDs hopefully by the beginning of the week into Monday. Of course, the 6th Pennystocking Conference is intertwined with the TIMDicators DVD, which will take me a couple weeks to learn. Also I keep hearing about the new "Part Deux" DVD. Accomplishments: 1. DVDs. 2. Read Tim's "An American Hedgefund" 3. Viewed very few video lessons due to viewing all DVDs. 4. Have participated in most of the classes and webinars since my 1.5 month inception into Tim's Challenge. 5. Set up and funded my ETrade Account. To Do (...over April and into May/ June): 1-4. TIMLines/ TIMDicators/ Spikeability/ Trading Tickers (Tim Grittani: "Yes Tim, I also enjoyed watching WSOP w/ Chris MoneyMaker). 5. Start watching incorporating more lessons (doing my own watchlist) as Tim post them. I think I am starting to get the gist of some of the patterns now, as Tim discusses them. They will make more sense... 6. Watch "Trader's Checklist" (hopefully this will put a lot of the thoerys and practices by the gurus into more perspective. 7. Re-watch 'Pennystocking Part Deux. 8. Purchased Jamil's "The Complete Pennystocking Course" 9. Start preping emails w/ questions to Jared S, & Co/ Gurus (re: misunderstandings or just general Qs to the lessons). 10. Start learning Etrade platforms, and with successful trades, look into doing the "7 day" $1.00 Trial for STT. (it seems critically essential, and all gurus stand by it along with most guest speakers in the conferences) 11. Will ONLY trade when I absolutely understand the patterns... Man!!!! Just realizing how seriously far that I have to go, YIKES! But I am understanding the teaching, but not retaining them. I suppose after completing my To Do: 1-4, "Pennystocking Part Deux", the patterns and Video Lessons will start to click... Hopefully will be ready by July :) If anyone actually read this, good for you. I am just trying to leave myself a somewhat testimonial of progress and journal. What have I learned (key word here: "retained") so far. DON"T LET UP ON STUDYING... & BE VERY PICKY AND NOT TO FORCE TRADES... There's a lot more, but this seems to be my initial reactive thought off the top of my head. Enjoy April everyone and I do believe that Spring is here. Study but play hard my Challenge friends and family.
