Just checked, Interactive Brokers still in a drop down menu, but they are no longer supported. Guess the high school kid running the site is busy with his book report on Catcher in the Rye. I mean seriously, if you are on this site, why? You are being monetized by all the crap banner feeds and side bar ads. Go check out Kinfo.com. No ads, and they wear big boy pants by integrating a vast menu of brokers. Profit.ly? The menu is half-vast. Say it fast. :)
Started trading after 4 years again ! Saw that Interactive Brokers is no more supported here. So I will post every trade on my wall too with screenshot . Every Entry and Exit.
Am still paper trading at the moment to gain experience with Interactive Brokers, but will hopefully start real trades in a couple of weeks. Would love to try Stockstotrade, but I run on linux and the STT is not offered in that particular OS flavor.
Long on ARDX In higher then I wanted.. at 1.92 because I forgot that Interactive Brokers (UK) are 15 min in delay.. (Wanted to get in at 1.71. But hopefully this will continue to run up to July levels of around 8.. Good news and volume..
does not look good so far.. down 12% with 50 min left before weekend. It is starting to go up again, and I believe it will gap up on monday.. But I am probably just hoping and holding as a noob..:-)

Hi Tim, I love your work and am studying by butt off! I've just joint Interactive Brokers with a small account ($1500) however they say I cannot trade US Penny Stocks unless I have over $20,000 in the account. Is this the case with all brokers?
Hi there, I'm new in here. I'm located in Australia. I'm still in the process of getting my brokerage account with Interactive Brokers set ups and funded. I look forward to a patient journey along the road to being a successful day trader. So lots of study to do
Hi can you tell me which broker you use, I'm using Interactive Brokers at the moment but their not compatible with Profit.ly platform so I cant upload my trades.x
I'm using them as well and have had to upload them manually
It’s a bit of a pain having to upload manually isn’t it ?
I also use Interactive brokers and have to upload mine manually unfortunately
Ive just made it part of my daily routine to input them at the close of each day, then its done

Interactive Brokers reporting issues: https://tim.ly/37OeFaG
Hi, Can anyone help me? I live in the UK, I've been trying to set up an account with Interactive Brokers for about three weeks now set up a £10,000 acount, answered loads of questions but they still won't let me trade. Can anyone recomend a good UK or accessable from the UK broker I could use please? I have am using StocksToTrade.
@SaJa hey I am from the Uk also. Did you solve your issue? Worried I will have the same issue....
@ETrickett8 yes, there are certain criteria you have to meet when filling out the application. Two years plus trading experience stuff like that. The have live assistance which is a great help. Good luck.
What if you don’t have 2 years? Do you need proof?
No you just have to "satisfy" them that you have. When you're filling out the form just tell them what they want/need to hear.

Tried to connect my Interactive Brokers account to verify all my trades but Profit.ly says it doesn't support IBKR. I tried submitting login credentials as the instructions said and I got an error. My first trades since signing up have screen shots, but it was just getting so tedious doing that for every trade so I gave it up. So, basically this is my disclaimer that all of my trades are legit and accurate, as you may believe looking at my stats haha! But this journey on Profit.ly began in September 2020 and tons of studying is beginning to halp my consistency and knowledge. Good luck trading to everyone, I hope to start chatting with the community more, connect, learn, laugh! Cheers!
Tim, I earned 17.6% in 13 minutes on WIMI just before close. Thanks for the tip! I was not able to get in on GAXY because Merrill has that on a restricted list. I'm not real happy with them and am thinking of switching to Interactive Brokers. Comments?
Accountability post 04/13/2020-04/28/2020 I watched and took notes on all 13 Challenge Orientation Videos in the student portal. I watched and took notes on 3 of the DVD's on profit.ly: "Penny Stocking Part Deux," "Penny Stocking Framework Part Deux," and "Spikability." I signed up for E*Trade, Interactive Brokers, and TDAmeritrade (to get access to Think or Swim paper trading). I already had a brokerage account with Charles Schwab, but I only have used that account for traveling since they don't charge ATM or foreign transaction fees on a high yeild investor checking account. I have never traded before. I will probably use E*Trade, and I have already moved my trading money into that account even though I don't plan on trading for real for at least a month. I signed up for the Stocks to Trade trial a few days ago, and I went through all of Tim Bohen's Getting Started lessons in STT University. I really like this stock scanner, but I am hesitant to subscribe. The fee is daunting to me since my only income at the moment is coming from unemployment. That might be something I can get when I start profiting. Meanwhile I'll have to learn a more affordable platform. I watched all three live webinars last week (Tim Lento, Tim Sykes, and Mark Croock). I watched Tim Lento's live webinar today, and I plan on catching Tim Grittani's webinar later this afternoon. I have reminders set for the webinars scheduled for tomorrow and Thursday as well. This week I have made it a point to open chat at market open, and I have been following the other traders in the room as they discuss their trades. I have been paper trading some of these trades to learn the mechanics. I have been making a lot of mistakes, but I'm learning from them and it's not a disaster since I'm trading with fake money. I've played with E*Trade, Think or Swim, and Stocks to Trade. Stocks to Trade has been the easiest one for me figure out, probably because of the tutorial I watched. I have been living and breathing the material these past two weeks, but I know I am only scratching the surface of things that I need to know to succeed at this endeavor. I understand the basics of trading and the stock market, but there is definitely a lot of room to build on top of that knowledge. I'm looking forward to the journey!

The secret is in shorting. Just evaluate dux's past trades and you'll see it for yourself. Other than that it's simple resistance and momentum trading. The hardest part is finding a broker that has shares to short on the daily running stock that's up 100%. @dux where do you find most of your shares to short? I'm using Interactive Brokers and they never have shorts available on the daily running penny stock.
I want to learn to make money
@SlavicV Every trader is different. Dux has literally made 30K net going long and 9.67M short

Hi! I saw your question in the chatroom about CMEG. I've been using them since last August. Here's my review: Takes a little longer than a week to get setup with them. They are state certified in Trinidad and considered a partner of Interactive Brokers. They abide by NASDAQ rules and are in my opinion doing everything right. They have two platforms. I use DAS Pro Trader. It's more versatile than Trade Station. They are dirt cheap when it comes to commissions. $5.90 for a complete trade plus ECN fees of a few pennies. Trades are instantaneous. Customer Service used to be spot on. I mean I could call or text and get an immediate response. That now lags to more than a day. This is because they've grown exponentially. Of course, if you need trade help, the desk will pick up on first ring. You do have unlimited trades (No PDT rule) and they offer staggered margins up to 6:1. Use of margin trading is up to you. Just remember it's risky. The downside is they only accept wires for funding. That means your first couple of funding wires will take 2-3 business days before your account reflects it. Once you build history with them (no margin calls, pay your fees, etc.) they will auto-credit your account within an hour of you notifying them of the wire with proof. Send them a copy of the wire receipt for instance. Bottom-line is I use them every day and have no troubles. Not to mention, the Turks and Caicos make a great vacation...errrrr...business destination to check on your trading activities.
@bwestwood11 Hi, how do you still manage to upload trades with Interactive Brokers? Mine doesn't work. Thanks!
The Interactive Brokers is not supported to verify trades any more on the profit.ly website and Its been over 5 months this issue has been remaining. So i decided to upload all my trades on https://www.tradervue.com/.
Good idea, profitly doesn't wanna fix this issue.
How's this software working out for u? I'm searching one that lets me to upload my trades on it; I'd like one with some more features to analyze my plays. By this link we can found all the software partner with IB https://gdcdyn.interactivebrokers.com/Universal/servlet/MarketPlace.MarketPlaceServlet (go on: Find Services / I'm a Trader-Investor / Software Vendors). Would u recommend Tradervue?

@MichaelGoode Hi Michael. You mention on your blog that you do not use TWS anymore, but you are still using Interactive Brokers. I was just wondering if you are using DAS connected with IB or a different broker for the charts and L2 but use IB to execute orders. Thank you.
I don't know where I would have said that -- I still use TWS. I do use DAS Pro with Centerpoint for level 2 and charts
Oh sorry, I didn't read that carefully. You replied to someone on your blog that you still use TWS but not time and sales and L2. Do you think DAS level 2 and time and sales is more accurate than IB's?
TWS L2 & time and sales is just as good but I have always considered TWS charts ugly. I have used them in the past but I just find it easier to use DAS Pro and I have to pay for those charts / L2 anyway whereas I don't have to pay for the IB L2 if I don't want it

@Torkers Interactive Brokers are pretty cheap in the industry in general. Maybe someone is cheaper. I would suggest you dedicate a couple of hours work, creating a spreadsheet, with all the price variables, and compare different brokers. There are many fees to consider, so getting a overwiew in a spreadsheet is a great way. Also have in mind (if you prepare to make shortselling) that IB have way better borrows, than Thinkorswim. IB - TSW platform, also comes free. It can really pay to choose the right broker from start, so do the digging. - Link: https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/index.php?f=1590
@MichaelGoode Hey again Michael, just a quick question, is it a good idea to use Interactive Brokers to trade stocks under a dollar? They charge a per share fee for Canadians ( CAD 0.01 per share, Minimum order $1) and I was thinking if I was to trade tens of thousand to hundreds of thousand of shares of an OTC/NASDAQ stock would the commission fees take most of my profits? I'm kind of confused here whether I should find a broker that charges a flat fee for low priced stocks or just use IB. Thanks!
I use IB for low-priced stocks because most of the time I am shorting them and no brokers that have flat fee commissions will let me short stocks under a dollar but it is true that taking decent position sizes on cheap stocks will result in large commissions at IB. At least for US clients the max commission is 1% of trade value. If you do trade a lot of lower-priced stocks I recommend getting another broker for buying the cheap stocks

I just opened an Interactive Brokers account with $11,000 funded! Starting small with this account and E-Trade which has $4,000. Will be under PDT for both accounts. But happy I can verify trades with those accounts. Using photos to verify with Merrill Edge. Will use those brokers exclusively for shorting.
@melissa17 I couldn't find the video I was looking for so I made a one to illustrate how to decouple that window from the main app in Interactive Brokers. https://goo.gl/QPgBYZ Hope this helps.
