My opinion on the best penny stock brokers - Etrade and Interactive Brokers have high account minimums and don’t accept people from certain countries so it's best to for people with smaller accounts to use Questrade, Schwab, SpeedTrader, Scottrade and Fidelity. I would highly recommend avoiding brokerages like Robinhood and Suretrader. Suretrader are based off-shore, allowing you to bypass the Pattern Day Trader rule but have recieved a lot of negative reviews from previous customers. Robinhood are free but you're at a serious disadvantage to your competition, it's like showing up to a gun fight with a knife. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnqadcBE57I

Dux quick question, is interactive brokers good for finding shares to short without going to center point?

@zelus699 Here is screenshot of my Market Data selections in Interactive Brokers setup. Fee for general bundle waived once you get up to certain number of trades per month. Then added Level I from NYSE / AMEX and NASDAQ. I may adjust to dropping NYSE / AMEX and OTC as I get more into focusing on pennystocks. But NASDAQ Level II for sure.

Guys, this is also my question, I am currently struggling around to find out the best, cheapest and reliable broker + platform. Can you please help letting us know what's your opinion about it? I can't start with E-trade or Interactive Brokers because I don't have the minimum deposit amount to start with, but I have less than that and I am not less than 26 year old unfortunately :) Thank you all in advance with your support. Victor

Funded Interactive Brokers account today with $10,000 starting account. It is a multi-day process: application, ID verification, ACH amounts sent to bank and confirmed, completion of pending application. But online secure funding process better than writing a check and sending in the mail.....

Testing ideas, reading charts, assembling watch lists, learning Interactive Brokers TWS platform.... $OPK loss of almost 20% 12/30 following news of failed drug result "no statistical difference vs placebo" - now in long channel / dip. Testing resistance at 9.40 but ended red on increasing volume late Friday. Breakout at 9.40 = long opportunity? Or short if breakthrough 9.00? QTNT gap up forming possible dip buy at 6.21 if it holds support. Breakout resistance at 6.65...

Even though free, I think that the Robinhood broker path is a 'knife at a gun fight'. My first broker choice is going to be Interactive Brokers using both their Trader Workstation for iMac desktop and the iOS app for iPhone. This setup will allow me mobility without having to lug around a laptop and also a desktop application for times when I can sit down for longer periods of studying charts, developing watch lists, reviewing news.... I have played with their TWS for Mac on my desktop and is easily configurable as I develop an approach. Downloaded app on iPhone today as well.

Tim, today you shorted IDXG with Etrade, why is the reason that Etrade has the stock to trade and Interactive Broker doesn't, how you do you know or how you make the decision? the price of the stock are different in Etrade from Interactive Brokers? I'm still practicing with @timothysykes

What's the best layout at Interactive brokers? Just opened an account today. Any help on setting up the platform would be greatly appreciated.

[TimAlerts] im just starting here myself, but i tried shorting like 6 times n they never have anything. N i also heard same thing from other people. Interactive Brokers often do, but u need a 10$k account to start(smoking)

notford

[TimChallenge] I'm a few weeks in and recommend getting Interactive Brokers up and running and trying to follow thought processes through from tip to trade or not (seems to be very often not). Currently watching ITEK after Tims buy to try and understand the move here. that and follow the suggested assault of videos and reading from the hello emails.
