Entry comments: Yeah, I went back to trading ETFs for a little more stability, which is useful for a trade that I'm going all in on. I'm using a manual trailing stop at the 2-week (10-day) low. This is a longer term trade.
Exit comments: Stop triggered at Market Open at 5.31 (below my actual stop level). That's the downside of using a hard stop.
Entry comments: This could be a bad trade, but it checked off a lot of my criteria (uptrend on the daily and weekly charts, new 20-day high, profitable). Using a 2% trailing stop.
Exit comments: Maybe using an automatic trailing stop isn't such a great idea, especially if it's a tight 2%. I'll try a different trailing stop strategy on my next few trades to see if that performs any better.
Entry comments: The fundamentals are good, and it's making new 20-day highs, so I figured, why not? Way higher priced than what I normally trade, but hey, it matched the rest of my criteria. Using an 8% trailing stop on this one.
Exit comments: This trade was pretty meh. I'll try a new strategy.
Entry comments: I'm going back to trading ETFs for a little more stability. Less risk, but less reward. This is the Innovator S&P 500 Power Buffer ETF January. It's been on a strong up channel, making new 20-day highs.
Exit comments: As expected of ETFs, this barely moved. And I got impatient. So I'll take the small win and get on a more volatile trade.
Entry comments: My non-ETF position. This stock has been green for a few weeks in a row. Hoping to ride the uptrend. Using a 5% trailing stop.
Exit comments: This went down along with the rest of the markets today. Not surprised that my stop got triggered. Hey, I'll take the tiny win.
