DAY TRADING CRITICISMS
Positives
12/19/2016
* Didn’t trade anything that wasn’t on my watchlist and nothing came into play on my watchlist to trade
* Even though IDXG didn’t work out for me I stayed disciplined and closed out position for a loss but took the stress away. Learned today about the play and how I could play better
12/20/2016
* Played CNAT perfectly from my watchlist twice and hit goals for great exits.
* Played my watchlist only. NVCN and CNAT
12/21/2016
* Played stocks off my watchlist (THIS WORKS SO MUCH BETTER)
* Didn't hope with anything kept my plan in place with all trades and focused on one trade at a time.
* Cut the loss with CNAT bounce play
* Position size was excellent for all stocks and risk tolerance.
12/22/2016
* Cut the HTBX trade when it didn't do exactly what I wanted.
* Played Tim alert but had a plan to enter and exit
* Didn't chase anything
* Played bigger sizes correctly
12/23/2016
* Cut my losses on URRE when the stock didn't do what I wanted within my risk level and time frame
* Didn't chase on spike
Negatives
12/19/16
* No trade
* Frustration
12/20/16
* Chased CNAT after I had a great winner and execution from my watchlist.
* Wasn’t patient enough with NVCN and entered poorly
* Held NVCN o/n when there is no need for me to do that right now.
12/21/2016
* Didn't pull the trigger with CNAT when I had the opportunity and price action was there for the bounce.
* Chased CNAT in the 4.60's with encouragement from the Tim alert. (NO, NO, NO!!!)
* have to make sure my research is thorough. Didn't know MPET was hitting year highs into my short
* Should have taken better profits on NVCN breakdown. Pushing profits to hard. One trade at a time.
12/22/2016
* Didn't execute my RGSE dip buy when the setup was there
* Traded off my Watchlist (had a plan though)
12/23/2016
* Didn't take a solid profit on my short of CNAT
* Holding stock o/n when I told myself not to get into theses situations
* Being too greedy
* Not following my set alerts efficiently, hesitating too much
Recap
* Getting back on the horse is hard but my confidence is still in tact because the mistakes are obvious and can be corrected.
* Still trying to be ok with singles. Not going to get 31k back in one, one week or one month.
* Want to try not to have a trade take up all the time in the day. If my watchlist is followed properly then we should be in and out for profit or loss.
* Need to give myself ample time in the am to sit down and be ready to play the market open.
* Need to remain consistent in documenting and reviewing my trades. That is where I am at my best.
Whose giving advice? I'm documenting for myself. You actually think there are not more ppl out here with bigger loss status then this? It sucks at what my stats are but it currently is what it is. Stay tuned.
ArtOfWar dude your not a bad trader at all just by just skimimg thru your trades your actually pretty good you just have too many big losses just cut your losses sooner you'll be profitable
@albeano58 I agree just have to keep focusing in. Unfortunately my mind and learning ways is being in the moment and learning. Real money real emotions. No one wants to lose money but I'm learning and still confident because I've seen what I can do when I stay disciplined and execute my game plans.
@mdchowdhury whats up wanted to check in and see how your trading was going? Have not heard from you in a while. Was trying to look at your profit chart but I noticed you have not posted anything. Wanted to see if I could get some "advice" from you to perhaps increase my current profits. You may not want "advice" from me considering your statements last year but I figured I'd reach out anyways. Hope trading has been good to you as it has been to me.
