To those who are international clients of SureTrader, make sure you're paying the international rate, not the $4.95/trade US resident rate.
Here's the email reply I received when queried:
"Thank you for your email. In reviewing this, kindly be advised that while you previously qualified for the International Rate, because you were a previously existing client, you would have actually had to request the rate be adjusted to the now available International Rate. As a result, we will not be retroactively applying this rate. This rate was automatically applied to new clientele of SureTrader. However, we have your request to be adjusted from the 19th of December, and will adjust the commissions via rebate for any trades from December 19th, to today. You will see this rebate applied overnight."
So, looks like I've been overcharged around $1100!
Thanks a lot SureTrader!
