Trading Two round trips on tues 10/10 Chased SRAX up from $3.15- bought it at $3.50, saw it going down and sold for $3.3577 100 shares Jumped into ECYT on positive news, in at $5.30 out at $5.2708 100 shares I should stick to 25 shares a buy while learning. Don’t chase stocks up on the day. Don’t trade from your phone! (Aww man!) Don’t trade on the train! (Aww man!) Good job cutting losses quickly!

See how it says 2.50 up top but 2.55 as the bid- please explain. I put my order as 2.55 and it's open. I signed the extended hours agreement but it didn't process yet. I'm like what is the lowest price? Am I trading on the train? You betcha lol but small like taking a bite of cheesecake instead of eating 5 cakes at once. Watched the video lesson last night.

Well you aren't seeing the L2 data on your mobile app (I don't know of one that actually shows it). But the price is currently 2.50 but the bid/ask at prices shown. Does that make sense?

CheesyPoofs
CheesyPoofs Oct 02, 17 8:43 AM

But you still need to wait for a seller to agree to sell 25 shares at that price. OR the broker puts your order in with others that have odd lots.

Personally cloning is going to far. Like they told you, wont be the same Pet or animal, not the one you knew. It is an honest sentiment, but "you cant take it with you when you go"....Like I said, I had to take time to let go, and get back into the cycles of my life. There are more opportunities in your future.

Cost of cloning runs 25k-50k plus you have to store the animal that runs about

Late night studying. Wait a second ... is that Mark Crook? Also I wish I would have joined the challenge instead of buying a bunch of DVDs because I want to join now but funds are low and didn't realize you get all the DVDs for free when you join for that year.

@TraderBaker To modify the watchlist background color yea you have to modify the theme file. Open NOTEPAD or any text editor as Administrator. For Notepad just right click on it and go to Run As Administrator.. Then, just go into C:\Program Files\StockstoTrade\Resources\Styles and find "dark" which is a Windows Theme... and open it then search for <Property name="liveDataTableBackground" and then change the value to whatever you want it to be.. for example if you want it to be white then do <Property name="liveDataTableBackground" value="#ffffff" />

Your post made me realize I need to get back to trying new setups. I've tried a few, but not really happy with mine so far. I assume you're using a 2x2 cell layout based on the top right menu button icons. I don't use that top right gadget (I use trade and sales instead), but I like the live news being docked/linked on the left bar since it just takes up space where L2 is. I'm going to give a similar layout to this a try and see how I like it, thanks for sharing.

@Kody It's great for charts, and super fast executions. But finding shares to short is almost impossible.

@VanRyan how is the scanner? Is it pretty user friendly? I downloaded the software and it seems a bit much tbh lol! Thanks for the response

Mr Himmeny i am currently using suretrader but i have some problems, i am mainly a short seller and they have 0 shorts available for any stock, the other problem is the fees that are killing me, im paying almost 25$ for 1 entry 1 exit. I was wondering if you could tell me how much do you pay for a round trip at IB and if they have shorts available for the kind of stocks we both trade(low flaot runners like HTGM/PULM/CCCR). Thank you for your time

Don't trade yet and get educated. Start with Michael Goode webinars, they are hidden gems. Then watch Sykes and Grittani DVD's at least once. Follow the market. Do this for 3-4 months, then rewatch the DVD's. Don't get distracted by the chat room and trying to trade. You are not ready yet. Get a decent broker and get use to the trading platform by paper trading. Try to get 50% winners before putting real money in. Most of the time, timing the trade it is all the secret. By the way, most brokers will remove the ban on your account the first time you get banned for the PDT rule. Just call them and politely explain you didn't realize the rules and they will usually take it off of your account. Just don't do it twice! Good luck.
