Are you trading? or are you gambling? You need to know this. If your account keeps blowing up and you are inconsistent with your trades your stomach is in knots you can't sleep because you are worried about your trade’s odds are you are not trading you are gambling. If you have a consistent weekly, monthly positive equity curve and you have strong tested setups that you use with a trading plan that you stick to then and only then are you actually trading. Let's face it, the Market is rigged, It's out to get you, It wants to steal your money, and it will if you are not prepared. Are you waking up at 9:15am pouring a cup of coffee sitting down in front of your computer and at 9:30am just start randomly picking trades? Or even worse you’re in some Discord room or trading room and you are taking stock pics from a dude that’s sitting on some bed somewhere wearing a ridiculous robe in slippers promising you a Lamborghini if you just pay him money and do what he says. Either way you’re F$%#’D. How do I know this? Because I was there. I lived it. I listened to the wrong so called mentors, I wasn’t prepared enough, I had shitty setups, I had no real trading plan. Oh yes, I was there. But once I realized where I was and what I was doing wrong, Only then did I come to the conclusion that it can be fixed. The first thing I did was to take a look back and find out why I did what I did. Why I took this trade why did I take that trade what was I thinking. What was my mindset. Then when I saw what I did I came up with a new plan. I had to find a way to stack the odds in my favor rather than against me. I had to find out what I wanted to trade and how I wanted to trade it. Through trial and error through trading in a sim account I came up with some trading setups that stacked the odds in my favor. I then constructed a pretty lengthy trading plan with a hefty set of rules and that was my bible and I stuck to it. I studied successful traders and I tried to find out what they were doing to be successful. I found my niche; I found my style. I planned my trades with pre-determined out comes and then I traded my plan. I had a tight money management plan and I never strayed from it. I then enjoyed trading more and I was more relaxed when I traded. I didn’t have to watch my trades tic by tic and be sitting in front of my computer all day long. Although I kinda still do LOL. I now am a trader and I am no longer a gambler. Think about it.
