I don't know how many times Tim has said, Newbies should not gather in one place and give each other advice. Newbies should not try and become Teachers, Mentors, or advice givers. Well, Once again Tim is right. Without mentioning any names I Once again became part of a server on Discord that I was invited to join. Not going to mention which one but I joined. And not putting the person down who started it but what starts out to be a place where you think that people can learn from each other and try and provide a service that is productive you actually are starting something that is Counterproductive. Let's face it. you are new, you don't know shit and neither does 99% of your buddies that follow you. 99% of you are barely trading and 99% of you have less than $2500 in your account. Yeah, you want a place to make friends, You want to be the Guy that everybody knows and likes. You want to be the Go to Guy. I get it, Your Lonely. You don't want to trade alone. If you fail you want company. If you succeed you want people to thank you for being the awesome person that you are. Congratulations you just joined the 90% club of traders that fail. That's right because you do not have what it takes to make it on your own and neither does the other people that followed you. yeah it's nice to start a new place where you can all gather and talk about your dreams of making it big someday, Trading 10 to 20 shares at a time of a $5 dollar stock. and when it drops 10 cents you get out thinking great I cut my losses early, Yeee Hawwww. One thing that I have learned in this life is to never follow the Herd. I make my own way in life and I only follow the people that have made it. I don't need more friends I need more Mentors. If I fail I don't need comforting and someone telling me it's going ok, I need someone to tell me I should have known better you dumb fuck now pick your sorry ass up, learn from your fuck up and get on with it. Nothing good will ever come from a place where new traders congregate on there own with no real mentors. That is a fact. I myself have my own place that I hang out but I don't want Numbers I want Quality. Preferably people that trade better than I do. I would not not allow anyone less experienced than me in but I mostly want people that have better results than I do in order for me to grow. I am not in this game to make friends I have friends I am in this game to make money. I have been in a lot of chat rooms and places that Losers gather and when I figure it out I exit quick. Misery and failure needs company. I am slowly finding the places and the people to follow that have had the real results that I desire for myself. It does take to much time for me to weed out the winners from the Losers. there are Far more Losers than there are winners out there. If that weren't true "Everybody would be doing it" I probably put more time in each day trying to learn by Studying everything and anything about stocks that I can get my hands on than Most traders these days do in a month. I eat, sleep, and shit stocks and trading. I am like a sponge that is barely wet and am determined to become saturated with the knowledge and skill to become successful. I weed through the wannabees like a fucking weed wacker in a lawn that has overgrown for over a year. Like that last fucking Sherlock Holmes what was his name? Oh yeah Brian from Darkside and his Merry little men. LOL The 0.033% winners club. That was like watching a Horse race and his Horse would come out of the gate and then stop! While all the other horses would continue for the Quarter mile and he would claim himself a winner for coming out of the gate in the first place. Bottom line is this, Follow the Leader not the Loser. Just Sayin. Peace Out. Chopper_Trader.
Thanks Chopper, I always enjoy your posts and the wisdom your journey has given to you. I like to glean teachings by listening to the action of wisdom from mentors. At my stage of the journey that at times can constitute 99% of the traders in the TS world as I am a slow learner trying to stay in the marathon. Goals are always set for the next level...and if growth is not achievable then the scenery needs to change. I remember the first nuggets of wisdom that rattled in my brain, they were a
comment routinely given in chat that I had zip knowledge about - I can only hope to do the same - we can always turn off the noise. Thanks Chopper for keeping it REAL, just like Tim!!
so true we all want to achieve at our own pace what Tim has achieved. thank you guys
