I find using linear regression channels 50 and 100 as well as aroon indicator 20 and RSI 14 very helpful. Investigate these. I will do a video in the future but my work schedule is crazy and I have a ton a travel coming up. I have not proven myself so I don't feel like the best person to give advise yet hence why I don't publish videos

Good Video, Hard to know what your style is when you dont understanding the Guru's vision, they have been doing this for so many years, and being new your video has sent me home to the begining, you have to do what right and pay yourself 1st. Example: I was in a tsla trade, 295 may 18 calls i had scaled in so the cost was 16.25 and i had 40 contacts, the stock wasnt doing crap!!! in fact it hit 70% down and I had to start exiting the trade, I took a -1750 loss early morning yesterday, when i sol

Great Video! It is great to see your thinking process. I'm just curious if you switch to other time frames to smooth out the curve and remove some noise to avoid shake out or if you only use 1 minute. Clearly you don't have to worry about PDT rules like I do. I'm constantly rethinking trades because I can't exceed the 3 trades in 5 days. It sucks and has cost me a lot of money

@DM4BigD sorry for the delay......absolutely switch to other time frames all the time. you never know what the rest of the tradng world sees until you do.

Excellent video. Your thinking was spot on and love how you reduce risk by picking up at or near support. My guess is you exited this morning around 4.40

I'm not using stocks to trade. I'm using TOS and it doesn't appear to be as fast as what your using

@DM4BigD That's excellent. I was an instructor in the Navy. It would be my dream to teach finance and the markets with an online platform assuming I am highly profitable of course. I appreciate good communication skills and training technique.

Thank you for your service to our country!!!! I nearly signed up for the Navy out of HS, but at the last minute went the college route. No regret but I really appreciate those that serve or have served our country.

My freaking dude right here.....I'm giving you a follow because if more people took the time to read your post and reflect like you do, there would be a lot more success here. My trading day was exactly what you outlined here. I started off with my watchlist/analyzed charts for the day. Did my homework like I should have. Bought two fakeout breakouts this morning...I was down but satisfied because I executed my plan. Fast foreward two hours...Its 11AM and I'm ignoring my rule I have in place not

not to day trade between 11-2 unless the setup is great with volume. I started scalping over and over again.....End of day results the same as if I didnt trade at all between 11-2 only instead I'm exhausted....

Craigtradesthis Jan 17, 11:19 PM Now that I'm looking at this more....I'm overcomplicating it....Its not a stock to day trade right now.... There is a huge cup and handle forming almost a yr long... I'm going to be buying into that small tomorrow stop loss 4.5 and forget it. Will look closer when it tests 5.5 and 5.7 :-

Didn't end up entering this....It will probably do what I thought it was going to do in the midterm, but the reward is not worth the risk holding a company like this for weeks at a time.

So, went on a week long or so hiatus to read and learn in an effort to stop overtrading and chasing strength or weakness. I have never traded 100k in one position! I think it has something to do with my trade imports, which I am still getting used to. My swings have been fine I guess. my biggest issue has been setting risk/ reward that is suitable to me. I want only very high reward to risk as I'm sure everyone does.....The only issue is I have a hard time setting levels for risk reward that all

Craigtradesthis
Craigtradesthis Feb 10, 18 10:18 AM

that allow me to make a few grand without risking over a grand.....and I'm trading for a living so its hard to just say "wait for the good plays" and "don't trade everyday".

I have found that trading only the stocks with big volume and volitility is best. When the bollanger bands go vertical, big volume comes in and price is pushing above the 9 EMA, trading is fun. Good book- The Trading Book by Anne-Marie Baiynd a pro tading coach. I have been struggling with poor entries, so I am playing only the best setups.

Been watching the chat alert and studying about 14 hours a day. I'm not a day trader by nature but have been trading for about six years. I'm pumped about tomorrow. I'm going to post my day results to profit.ly for first time after the trading day tomorrow(If I make a trade!)...I cant wait to analyze my results and add to the community and learn learn learn along the way. Pumped! #Studyingsetups

KODK Anyone thinking of maybe buying some puts on this bad boy? KODK 7.5 Jan19 PUT looking pretty hot at .55. May rocket with a little panic selling/ correction!!

Craigtradesthis
Craigtradesthis Jan 17, 18 6:35 PM

In hindsight, those 7.5 puts were waaaay out of the money. Better to buy a close to ITM put if the time frame is soon then to speculate about reaching a lower price in a shorter amount of time.
