This was an earnings winner with a confirmed breakout. It was a great stock to trade. It wasn’t choppy or manipulated much. Just went straight up.

News of a takeover. it looked like a good buy and I feared missing out.

This was just downgraded yesterday and the market was down. So I figured this would be a good short set up, but I was wrong. I was going to go down a little and it did. I added a little bit more to my position to hedge my losses, which is a bad idea.

I shorted this because although it was an earnings winner, the company gave a low and weak outlook. I thought with the market down that it would be a good short set up. The no-brainer lesson in this loss is to see if people are reacting to the news.

I bought this on news of FDA approval. My biggest lesson on this is always check the volume among other things. The volume was tiny and not enough at all to go up much or much less break out.

Up on news and had a pullback. It was pulling back this morning due to some negative news. Got out before it got worse.

It was a pump and dump that I held onto due to PDT rule. I knew it was a bad idea, but I had to feed my trading addiction and took a small position.

I will NEVER mess with biotech again. Too risky and volatile. I wanted to make back a previous loss.

Earnings beat. Not a great one and on low volume. Got out while I could.
