Was feeling a little despondent lately because of the silly, uncontrolled trading I've been attempting. Today I looked at my statistics and it gave me a boost. There are actually two more successful trades than losing ones, and my average is nearly 53%! Just need to follow my own rules as well as Tim's, and stop doing those stupid things! Focus now is to raise the number of profitable trades, and get that winning percentage up!

Greeting Jan-- I had to chuckle in a good way while reviewing your trades. I can emphathize with you. I made all the mistakes you did and prolly a hundred more. I too am determined to earn back my losses; however you are in far better position than I am. Hang tuff. I will be updating my trades soon. I got some good ones on pushing buy instead of sell and getting wrong amounts on shares and fills. LOL We will both get better or go insane. Respectfully, TribalCyclops.

Thanks for your comment. I haven't traded for a while as I've been busy with work. Now I'm trying to decide whether or not to continue ...

I understand how you feel. There is a huge learning curve and will take time. This trading stuff is a marathon and I started off full blast like it was a 100 yard dash. I have felt like quitting more times than I can count. I felt stupid, embarrased, and foolish and psycloligially bankrupt and damaged - and all self inficted by my not knowing what I was doing. You can choose to cry about it or laugh or make a concerted serious and fearless self anaylsis of yourself and your trades. I will contin

i work full time and get off about 7am. I want to do this so much, im willing to lose sleep, weekends, to become a better trader. i realized i have too emotional trading, and not logical. My plan for each trade isnt no where near tims challenge students structure. I know if i can improve the results will improve. Id only give up if i really didnt want to do this

@LimitedEdition Hi Jan! I'm happy to see you're back trading! I was just wondering if you're still holding MEET? I am still long, but see it's dropped quite a bit!

That's right! We can't learn without trying! You're doing great! I made $10 on three trades today, lol. I lost triple what i made on fees!

That's the problem. They say not to take the fees into account, but they can turn your small profits into losses!

Yes, exactly. And it's so easy to get in and out of the trade a few times trying to keep losses small and then realizing you should have held! Oh well, we'll get there :) We'll be Tim's next millionaires, lol.

@juanjollovera Don't know if you realised it, but my trading loss is exactly .56 cents more than yours! What a coincidence! :)

You told me you had an ugly loss but not by that much, you´ll see tomorrow you will gain again and wont make that mistake again, we have to learn to cut our losses, that has to be our main goal!

@juanjollovera Too afraid to trade today. Even my "pretend" trades went wrong! I wanted to hold the 200 RWLK over the weekend, but Tim told me to sell after hours if I could. If I'd followed my instinct I would have had a huge profit today! Oh well ...

that has got to hurt, today started out with a loss and ended in profits, i learned to cut my losses and to be patient!

My first three days were bad - felt like giving up! But I've had eight green days since then. Can't believe I've been trading for 11 days already - time flies when you're having fun! My wins are just a few dollars, but I'm sure they'll grow with confidence. Good luck to you too. :)

Way to go, I am not able to trade today as I officially become a Canadian Citzen today (I am a misplaced Brit), so am getting ready to leave, I made a quick $15 on sprint first thing but more important things today. Happy trading.

@RuthH Lol - I'm a misplaced Brit too! Came to New Zealand with my parents when I was a year old. Visited Vancouver in 2012. My first time in Canada and I loved it.

Hi, small world they say we Brits are everywhere! Vancouver is a wonderful city lived there for 5 years, but decided I wanted to get out of the city, so now I live in a rural part of Canada on a lake, if I can get this trading business going all will be good.

Fourth day of trading today and made my first and second profits.

$RADA - bought 300 shares perfectly on the dip at the lowest point of $2.77. But then held too long and missed the top of $3.15. Eventually sold for $2.85, making $14.00 after fees. Ecstatic!

$MOBI - bought 100 shares at $8.60 and watched it plummet. Bought another 100 at $8.23 and averaged down to $8.415. Sold 200 at $8.65, just seconds before a spike. Missed the top at $8.91, but still glad to have made a profit of $17 after fees.
