[TimChallenge] Considering how down $RJET is for the year, seems it could have some serious gap ups. Just covered a small short position. Will stay away now.

Oh man do I feel your pain. I've been in the music biz for 35 years and i'm still making a living, doing really well by some people's standards, but the biz has gotten socreatively bankrupt that half the time I go home from gigs or sessions and cry myself to sleep with a shotgun in my mouth. Nobody pays for music anymore therefore no one values it

That's why we have Iggy Azalia, 5 Seconds of Summer, flavor of the week rappers, each one shittier than the last and Nickelback. I came to tradingwith the hopesof getting back to working on records that I like and are good rather than shitty ones that pay. It's been slow going, trading can be tough for right brain types but we can do this and make the world better through better artistic endeavors. I'm totally pulling for you.

Yes Todd! There is so much good to be done for the world through true creativity. The whole concept of appealing to the masses has gotten sickening! Stay strong bro, the world is too beautiful a place to leave it willingly!

Stupid law to prohibit people to make money and they do not make laws for HTFs. Obama deserve to go to jail.

Once you are a pattern day trader. If you go below 25000 for one day and make a round trip, they will put you on 90 day suspension. your not allowed any round trip. Thats what scottrade did with me.

@neverstop35 yep, well aware, that's why I plan to be careful. I'm actually at about $27K now so I have a little wiggle room. I'd like to be closer to $30K though so I don't run into that issue.

Looks good Bushlee, what is your exit strategy?

Arbi717
Arbi717 Sep 02, 15 8:55 PM

Madbash, chart patterns look nice, recent catalysts show there is a future to the company, parts hold till support grows, or sell into a morning spike

Thx Palmer. While I have spent many hours with the DVDs and Video lessons, application of the knowledge is of utmost importance. I don't know why it is so difficult to stay disciplined, but I am confident I will the resolve.

Take some time off and get your confidence back paper trading, then give it am other shot! Keep at it. It's not easy but I believe with persistence it's possible!

A book that has helped me out a LOT is Trading in the Zone by Mark Douglas. It's all about getting ahold of your emotions and reducing some of the impusiveness that comes with trading. If you're more right-brained and sometimes all the tech-y stuff starts to blur together that book will really help.

Rally sells...I mean when the trend is down, stock rallys up a little and the rally...opposite of buying a dip.

[TimChallenge] How about TRVN? Worth considering a short above $9 for a 30 cent dip?

Madbash

[TimAlerts] Seems odd to short UWTI when you can just buy the inverse DWTI. Also, both of these ETN's have horrible decay and should not be held more than a few days. IMO.

LurchThePerch

[TimChallenge] $ARIA - Its a buyout play so not really something that Tim advocates - What happens will depend on the accuracy of the merger rumour

I have found the same thing. Also true if you're using small positions, because commissions will really start to eat your profits. However, there's something to be said for overtrading a bit with small amounts just to get some practice in before moving on to bigger trades.

The thing is that getting small position like 100 shares for gain 20 cents profit or loss will not move our money up at all. The fees you need to pay per transaction will eat your $$$ 1 by 1. Need to play big gain plays. I lost $1500 of my acct in 3 weeks because of that. Less trades, quality plays bring $$$. Hope this help :)

@RedScourge Nice job man. However in my opinion, i like broad screens and dont mind looking through 6 pages of charts to find the real winner, because each parameter added might reduce the chances of a real winner coming up. However, it is likely that your tweeks will generate quite good results. I will be using it and we'll see well it does.

[TimAlerts] I kinda wish $TVIX didn't get so much screen time in this chat. It does not fit any of the criteria for what should be our trading strategy....:|
