I was going to try a swing trade. I held so long because no sooner had I bought the stock the war started in Ukraine and the stock dropped. I know I should have cut losses quickly, but because Apple is such a good stock I decided to wait for it to come back you, which it did! Another lesson for me...
Bought 8 shares @ $10.42 at 11:20 am. big mistake, I only took into account of the time after I had bought. Decided to hold over the weekend as the ticker had not done what I wanted it to do and I decided to try a weekend hold and give it more time. I tried to exit on the Monday at 9:30am as stock falling, panicked, instead of selling I bought further 8 shares, @ $9.8934. Eventually sold 16 shares for $9.97. Really bad trade, poorly prepared. Another good lesson learnt.
First trade for me and good lesson to look back on! Placed my trade to buy, but by the time it was executed, it was time (my plan) to sell. I now realise that I should have just cancelled once I realised that my plan was not working and my buy order had not been executed. Will never forget how to use Cancel again! So my first trade was a lose!!
