First post. Just switched from mobile to desktop. Until a few days ago I only had a cheap smartphone from Walmart, and got my feet wet using the StockTrainer App (which I recommend, except for the lag in price action which can be misleading). Anyways I have a computer now and am feeling overwhelmed with all the new tools available to me. Found myself getting bogged down with Technical indicators: Williams %, MACD, etc. Went back to some of Tim Sykes videos and found some relief to see that he doesn't spend a lot of time with that junk. Now I'm back in the game, starting to watch tickers again, etc.
I'm glad I've spent some time researching stock brokers and have chosen to go with TD Ameritrades Thinkorswim. At first I was planning to trade with TradeKing due to their low commissions, until I found out they tack on surcharges for pennystocks (anything under $2!), which means my bottom line could be severely affected if I choose to trade, OTC, which I certainly will! Ameritrade has no account minimum and a stable commission of $9.99 per trade.
I plan to start with $2,000. I don't have $2,000. I have to sell my vehicle, which I'm procrastinating over. I know as a female, I'm going to get ripped off and it makes me sad to think of my beloved truck going to some crackhead for less than it's worth. But once I sell, the money is going to fund my trading account and I'll start trading with real money.
I'm an angry cashier at a burger joint with a Bachelor's Degree in Science that nobody gives two flips about.
Everything I own fits into my 12X12 studio apartment. The only door in my place goes outside.
I own a pitbull, which is part of the reason I was homeless for so long. People are judgemental. They think I ought to ditch the dog to find better housing. She's my best friend and my most loyal supporter. People are wrong. I would rather live back on the street with her than in a mansion without her.
Watch me change my life.
