Right as if he is the only trader who made $ and noone ever made . Check my Roku call on Friday alerted @ 22.07 and went up to 23.42
Real traders don't follow alerts. I'm here to become a better trader not impress anyone. What about you?
you are here to win when you spot and opportunity, maximize gains and cut loses. MBTC has triggers and it can swing to 5-6
Thanks for the info! I'll be looking for those "triggers" lol

were* instead of where
Good job! I am going to quit watching my P&L as well. Have heard the same from some really good traders to not watch.
Good job, keep at it!

Try StocksToTrade scanner software - it lists alerts pretty much in real time with the ticker's charts. Also, a fresh catalyst isn't necessary for a stock to run. Price action + volume are what you're looking for, even if the catalyst is 3 days old. I bought the $IZEA dip in the morning at $5.87 and sold into the push above $6.30 for over 8%, then bought again when it broke through resistance above $6.75 and sold near HoD. Don't worry about what Tim says to do or not do. He's a good starting po
point but he's not always right (none of us are). Study chart patterns and learn to trade what makes sense to you. StT paper trading module is an EXCELLENT way to learn how to trade, as well as how NOT to trade.
I think you put in your time, did your research, calculated your risk/reward and had a good spot to cut losses. It was well played!! Yes, buying a stock that is up from $2 to $6 in just three days is risky, but you had a plan. If you had just jumped on board without your well thought out plan then I would agree you got lucky, but that wasn't the case for you. Well done!

Thank You
My thoughts exactly when I joined. Looking at your trades though it looks like you have a nice understanding of trading already!
Thank you HeathenDaint. I need refining in a lot of ways. I hit a Brick wall so I know Tim will get me past it.

I've been holding CAPR short for a few days now (from about 1.30). It's almost broken through the 1.10 a few times...maybe tomorrow is it!
Looks like today was the day. I was able to cover at 0.96. Were you able to get in on it?
Thought about taking it when it bounced to 1, but just decided against it. Congrats to you though!

so with a cash account you can make as many day trades as you want?
@mstr2157 Correct, there is no "day-trading" limitations with cash accounts - you are limited by how much settled funds you have.
@wannabestocktrader Thank's Yes I am in a cash account, and yes I did receive a good-faith violation. Talked with e-trade and they said that you can received 3 in a calendar year before any restrictions are put upon you. The part that confused me was "Unsettled Cash Available for Investment" which was somewhere in the amount of 1500.00+ And the Cash Purchasing Power in the same amount.

I know, but just thought it kind of funny that he used hope about 3 times. Like his info and is very useful.
@Dutchie777 No one knows exactly what a stock is going to do. All you can do is go in with a strategy.
LOL, hope went a long way up with MSDI for you JaretJ... Great choice! I'm sure you made a killing, I should have bought that Friday
Thanks for the Karma!

How long were you able to make $500 a week on Robin Hood? That seems like a good thing you had going, what made you want to change something up?
That sucks man sorry hear about the scam. I use Etrade as a broker also, tried using Etrade Pro platform to trade with but wasn't getting any good trades when I setup the screener and kept losing, just switched to using STT for screener and charts. So much easier to use. My opinion is to use Etrade as a the broker and use STT for screener/charting.
Just wanted to say keep your head up! I just had a rough loss after breaking all the rules and kept rationalizing holding on a littttttle longer to turn it around. I bet a lot of folks here have had similar learning moments Learn, move on, and conquer the next trade! “Don’t Let Yesterday Take Up Too Much Of Today.” -Will Rogers
Yes, very good lesson learned! I never get into a trade at the end of the day if I don't have a day trade left to get back out in case things go south. In this case I'm guessing you followed Tim into the trade but when he alerted that he was getting out you couldn't get out. Been there, it's a bummer. Glad you're learning from it!
