Hey dude, I'm grinding through the video lessons and I see you in the comments. Keep it up and good luck. I'm not an expert, just now am I starting to make back losses but the screenshots are nice, I try doing this too. From looking perhaps try buying the initial all day high breakout at the level and risk off the same level to prevent large % losses. Don't buy a stock at its highs or uptrending and think it will keep going up for whatever reason, I would get burned every time doing this too. If you are considering a dip buy, perhaps wait for 1-2 green candles to show it might actually uptrend more. You make less because you might have to wait for confirmed price action, but it increases the odds. Last thing dude, I have been very happy using Schwab and switched here from TD. No commissions buying OTCs with Schwab although I think they do charge foreign stock commissions too.

Thanks for the video, that was pretty cool and I've never seen questrade's platform before. This was especially nice because I'm working on morning panic bounce plays except you trade much larger size. Thanks again

thats a sweet looking platform actually, do you pay extra for the level 2? Also does Questtrade have recording, or did you record that in another program? Thanks for the video Sean, I got right into it, I was panicking to sell right along with you 🤣

@KenMcA Yes, you have to pay extra for level 2. There is a built-in program in my laptop which allows screen recording.

Great post, good luck man. I'm the opposite who undertrades, I've missed so many setups and it's frustrating. If you're worried about ego, consider verifying and posting all those trades. That will shatter it and give you a clear goal towards breakeven. Kinda like papajohn. If you have a cheap mic and an okay pc, consider recording your screen to rewatch how you traded later.

@StarSedz Yeah I'm gonna start posting all my stuff here, the good the bad and the ugly. I appreciate you dropping a comment and some good advice!

I think the only way around the 21 rule is to have your parents open an account with 10k, and then open your own account off of theirs. I'm on the same boat with you, and it seems like the only solution besides that is E-Trade.

I suggest Etrade. I just moved back and they have a 3 month trial on there 2nd level platform. Dont forget Tim will be using Etrade next year also. Good Luck

@trader91 You can have your order executed at 2.90 with a limit at 2.80, but the key is that you won't get your order executed below 2.80 from market makers and trading robots. The only downside is that you can miss your execution if a stock that's dipping falls below your limit price.

@StarSeedz so that means i put a limit order at 3.20 or 3.80 and thats the price i am willing to lose and only risking 20 or 80 cents. But my main goal is to execute the stock below 3 $ for an example 2.80 so that i am profiting 20 cents. Sorry for my english. And Thanks!

@trader91 Where you want to execute is up to you. If I had a goal to short a particular stock if it breaks $3 than in this example I'll place a short order with a limit at 2.93 once that support is broken.

@timothysykes Finished your pennystocking 101 with 12 pages of notes. You gotta fix chapter 9 "if you short it at $1.30, $1.20 or $1.10 and cover at $1.90 or $1.80, you’re making $0.20—$0.30 a share"
