@rugby Congrats on hitting the $1M mark, I see you're not trading TNA much.

Thanks! TNA eclipsed $100/share and didn't split. DUST is far cheaper and moves similarly.

Hey Rugby, congrats on passing the $1 million mark! With your subscription, I hope to pass $1 million in 2017. Since joining you in July '16, I've made over $300K at that just in one account! I just don't understand why people would trade penny stocks when they can just follow you! Your dedicated subcriber, Teri

@rugby Trying to get an understanding of your trading style, your longer term positions seem to fit my risk appetite and preference a bit more than other styles I've seen. Do you use any indicators? Even something as simple as a 200 SMA, or are you strictly clean chart support/resistance levels only? Thanks.

@rugby would the Elliot Wave Theory be one of those cycles or something similar to it?

Most stuff out there is too slow for leveraged ETFs, my goal is to get in and out with $500 to $1000 gain in as short as time as possible using 1000 shares+/-. Any charting technique is going to show you what you should have done after you should have done it. Longer plays, sure, give it a go BUT you will miss lots of $$$ while you wait for the longer move. My technique is a blend of charting, history and feel for the ETF

@AirplaneJane I'm reading up on trading futures. What I'm struggling to understand is what happens when the contract expires and it's time to settle? If I buy 1 contract for the Emini S&P, will I be required to to fulfill the terms of the contract? Excuse me for sounding naive.

jfavila03
jfavila03 Jul 05, 16 11:57 PM

Yes it does. Thank you both. I wouldnt want to be in the hook to perform on the contract.

jfavila03
jfavila03 Jul 06, 16 12:01 AM

Im also wondering about profit/loss per contract. The emini s&p has a value of $50 for every point. If I go long 1 contract and the price goes up 1 full point, my total profit would only be $50? Or is there more that I am missing?

TraderDunn
TraderDunn Jul 07, 16 6:09 PM

Yes your profit would be 50 dollars. If it goes up 10 points 500$. And he is right you would have you exit your position. I didnt know if the link helped you out or not

IF you trade oil /CL or Gold /GC these are the big contracts. There are mini contracts of these too.

You blog posts are very informative beyond the in/out and why, but the psychology behind the process. I'm interested in what your settings are for your BBs. I would like to add those to my charts and it sounds like you have a good system for using them. Would love to start with your settings and learn from there. Thanks, woj

@rugby Okay. How can your trading be this good? I've never seen anything like it! What do you look for in your set-ups? Thanks!

it helps that I use ONE thing over and over again and use the volatility in my favor. It helps that TNA is basically an index. Then the whole deal is to recognize the cycles. Plus never out-punt your coverage (don't be greedy). If you do the volatility will bite you hard.

@AirplaneJane Regarding gap fill reversal would you set your buy when the reversal in trend occur or when the price starts filling the big gap?

I'm inspired by you! I'm three weeks into the millionaire challenge. How long did you study before you actually began trading? What DVD's did you find the most useful? How do you find your set-ups/watchlists? Thanks so much for everything. Teri

AirplaneJane
AirplaneJane Mar 28, 16 8:44 PM

I started trading immediately and lost $6k. study hard, paper trade and once you are consistent then use real money to trade. I write a blog post twice a week and it has my story there if you want to learn more. www.seejanetrade.com

@TArmstrong4700 I saw Your post in the chat room today. I am not a challenge student but I have been studying Tim's strategy for almost a year now as a pennystock silver member. I would definitely be interested in a study group type thing

TArmstrong4700
TArmstrong4700 Mar 17, 16 10:45 PM

I'm so glad to hear that you're interested in some group study session thing. I'm very green. What time/days would work for you? This is now my full-time job, so I'm open. Has anyone had any successful trades? Does anyone have any ideas what we should focus on first?

Adrianaline
Adrianaline Mar 18, 16 9:52 AM

I have been paper trading for a year and now I have a real account. my first trade was yesterday I lost 12 dollars. Depending on the size of your accounts we should study dip buying earnings winners. if you have a larger account we can throw in some shorting too. Maybe we can skype call each other during market hours or private message in the chatroom to throw out ideas

TArmstrong4700
TArmstrong4700 Mar 23, 16 12:26 AM

Sorry, I'm just responding; it's been a crazy few days! I've set up two accounts 1) Interactive Brokers for $10K and 2) E*Trade for $5K. There's so much info it's quite overwhelming, but frustrating at the same time. Not a lot of talk about the bear basics; like what/why/when/how of shorting; how to identify a pump and dump; how do you know when to go long vs. short; how do you plan your setups?; along with many other BASIC questions. BTW, congrats on your first trade. I'm up for any studying id

@TArmstrong4700 How to make millions DVD helped me learn the basics and right after that I had a better time understanding the rest of the video lessons. Dont worry it comes with time.
