@MLENTSCH0 Yes, news, court hearing results, SEC Filings or several other indicators could show you the movement of a stock. I saw $DRYS a couple of weeks ago had double the volume of it's daily average early in the morning. It went from .13 to .19 within a couple of hours with no news only large volume of buyers.

How are the commissions affecting you? I haven't started live trading yet and am a little concerned w/the small profits vs commissions.

Rollingball
Rollingball Jan 15, 16 6:11 PM

@TjRauschmier I am currently using Robinhood. They are commission free. In other words, I don't pay commissions. That's how I am able to make such small profits without hurting my account. There are limitations to using Robinhood though.

Thank you for this book! I like reading different books and I do it whenever have the opportunity. Now I'm busy preparing for my tasks. And although this source helps me with this however, this is not an easy task https://writinguniverse.com/free-essay-examples/beowulf/ Thanks to examples, I can inspired to write and get fresh ideas for it. I'd like to finish everything and then I'll have more time for my favorite hobby.

I'm attempting to write a statement of purpose, but I have no idea how to do it correctly. It is important to me since it will influence how I will be employed in the future. But I'm not sure how to effectively market my skills to the commission https://www.sopservices.net/ I thus decided to make use of a statement of purpose writing service. Hopefully, this will help me land a solid offer.

I must also add, imo, only trade when you can give 100% attention and on a Reliable device!

Never trade solely off of a Tim Alert. Do your homework on yahoo finance and your own analyzing the charts as well beforehand. Nothing wrong with longing a stock Tim is longing but try to aim for a dip buy like he does.

Being even $0.20 late to a trade can potentially nullify all gains so don't chase a move if you think you might be too late.

Learn from Tim's videos and study the graph history of the stock, - when it's down and when it's up. Protect protect protect your stock every second.

I thought you were going to say just go start another trading account with 3 more trades...lol This was a great Blog. Very Very true and well said. In fact, I create my own list every morning but Ive been swayed more than once to enter something else from the chat room. Just jump in and ALWAYS the wrong move. I tend to get in to late on those. So I'll stick to my plan as you said !!! Awesome Post !!

Palmer
Palmer Nov 20, 15 12:21 PM

Jules: Yeah, gotta stick to your plan. I mean like today,it doesn't hurt to take a look at MCUR but still have to be disciplined and not chase things. Determine if there is anything left in the trend and wait for a pullback. Don't buy at resistance, buy on the move back up to it for potential breakout. Opposite for shortys...

Thank you for the vid :) I really like that you are getting more and more disciplined. Also BIIIIIG congrats on that cover, that was how everyone should trade, look at the past chart, the time you are at and seeing the same pattern repeating. I learned a lot with it!

Thanks very much for your reply Samuraitrader, much appreciated! Please forgive my ignorance, however I still seem to be slightly confused. I've gone back through Tim's alerts/watchlist for the 17th, and he alerted to go short? Do you remember what made you go long?

Nathan_casey

Nathan_casey Feb 02, 16 10:09 AM

@Chaddo Everyone was short with this one because it was a crap company that was destined to go down but the unexpected happened and it squeezed 100s of %

Samuraitrader

Samuraitrader Feb 02, 16 3:49 PM

@Chaddo The stock was being shorting for many days/weeks and also that the stock price was not bad. So I bought it and hope that it will going up some % the next day. The next day I sold it all and after that I never touch the KBIO again.

I remember that stock. I also went long from the beginning of the day the pattern appeared to me to have more of s chance to go long. Unfortunately I was wrong and it plummeted so fast I couldn't get out unless I excepted a large loss. I decided to wait and at the end of the day it started to rise quickly. I got out with a small profit not realizing the spike of 600% was to start 3 minutes later. I had already shut down my computer.

That's because you chased it.You should look at it before and look for support and resistance. I say resistance at 5 and that would have been a good buy.

Just finished up ShortStocking, It goes a lot faster if you make the video go 2x faster, i can still hear everything they say. and it helps too. A lot of what they say is repetitive, so I just keep it at that tempo until I catch something I know is NEW.

@kenson90 Thank you, but dont think that loss didnt hurt, cause IT DID !!! Just learned quickly that I can not predict or wish the market to do what I want it to do. Tim G in his trading style hides his profits so he doesn't make decisions based on them and only trades the charts. Im finding that helps me considerably to do the same thing.

What are you usiing as a market scanner and did e-trade give you the pro-platform with the level II before you've actually begun trading? I'm looking at using e-trade.

Yes they let you open an account but you need to fund your account with a minimum of $500.00 within 60 days of opening. It's the first one I've used so I haven't seen any others but so far I like it a lot.
