That's an interesting strategy. I think you are right. The risk is a bit high.

Another strategy I tried a while back was buying into the dip as the price kept falling to lower my entry average price. It worked a couple of times but the problem is if the stock doesn't recover, the losses will be big. Thank you for sharing!

I've made many losses trying to guess the bottom on a dip or downtrend. I've tried to average down with mixed results. Thanks for the input!

I was watching WEI as well. I too thought it couldn't go higher as it was up too much. I think it was because of a short squeeze (specially AH went to $10). What do you think of buying the small pullbacks these stocks have as they are going up? Worse case: we buy the top and have to cut losses quickly. Best case: It keeps going higher and we could lock some profits.

I just didn't have the guts to buy into the pullbacks. Buying into stocks that high implies "chasing" and the reversals coming off those highs can be just as quick. I've always had trouble cutting losses and it has burned me so I don't buy into them when they are that high. I am much better now controlling that than in the past. As with WEI, it was a 1000% runner. A few years ago when I started trading 200 to 300% was extraordinary. I've been kind on a hiatus for over a year and half until recen

tly and these 1000% runners are crazy. If you search for DRYS, that was the talk of the town for a long time. Now these kind of supercharged parabolic moves is like the new "normal". Keep grinding.

Speaking from my losses, small profits are better than holding and huge losses. My problem is I enter at a decent price, ride it up, but I don't sell because I think it has more room to run. Small profits add up! Remeber, it's a marathon, not a sprint. Congrats, and good luck!

$250 profit HLIX Long Stock

Entry comments: Partial position on this strong first green day play with news this morning https://tim.ly/3dH12wv and I'm buying off a dip of the day highs at .33, I think it can take that out and I'd love to sell in the mid t high .30s or even low .40s ideally tomorrow on a gap up/morning spike

Exit comments: No gap up, weird price action not gonna risk it given how much it spiked yesterday, small gain
