Whats your thoughts on XOMA i hear that is due as an earnings winner and it is perfect time to buy on the dip,

Also i've been reading a lot of articles that say SD is going to be an earnings winner. Even thought it does have the potential to not be one shouldn't I take a position before the earnings report comes out if I speculate them to do well? BTW I am new to trading so sorry if these questions are simplistic.

@YouRageBrah no, first of all an earnings winner is the REACTION to earnings not the numbers. A stock could report terrible earnings and still go up, its all about the reaction. If it the price spike due to earnings whatever they are, it is an earnings winner. Second it hasnt even released earnings yet. They release on nov 5th.

@YouRageBrah It doesnt matter what the article says you should never trust articles. You NEVER speculate and take a position ahead of earnings unless you want to get your ass handed to you. You may get a few right but a few will destroy your account. Wait until after they announce earnings and the chart reaction
