I did the same thing. Bought into BTCS yesterday after watching it run up all damn morning. I knew that I shouldn't have chased and did it anyways. Of course I bough in right at the top and it started dropping. Lost $250 in a couple minutes. Nice learning experience though. Keep it up and move on. Congratulations on closing on the house!

Won't make it very far beating yourself up. Forgive and move on. It's one of 1000s of trades in your life

Do you just call and ask for lower commission fees?

Arussell125
Arussell125 Nov 10, 16 10:22 PM

Told them i trade way more than 15 times or ao a quarter and needed a better comm structure

JohnathonG

Did you ever figure out this issue? I don't see how your commissions were $160? 4.95/trade x2 is $10 + $30 ECN fees = ~$40 in commissions. What else were you charged? I have been using them for a couple of weeks now and agree with Arick that you need to win a bit bigger to cover the costs of trading with them. I too have had greed days that turn into red days because of fees. Sucks, but part of the game of getting around PDT. Hope things have gotten better for you since this!

@Rollingball Thanks. I have patience. Just scared of losing so need to overcome it. Maybe your exits will be better than me if you follow my trades! :)

Yes u can make it back man, im not gonna say it will be easy but hey, if Tim G started off with 1.5k then hey, its just going to take patience and consistency. 10 good trades at %10 percent each is %100. Doing that over and over and ur in the game. Good luck. dont listen to @Legendario he always has negative stuff to say, but soon as u do good he will be all kind trying to get tips

@yawnabit thanks man for the positive comments, i will be back. working from home on my engineering stuff i'll be funneling money in a small account. risk on with a baby was my goof. lucky i have other things to pull from $ wise to come back. i want to be back on the right path. UP

babynoah
babynoah Nov 07, 16 2:39 PM

@prometheo33 my definition of a good path is winning consistency and having backups when you stumble. I did pile on risk too much but lucky didn't break my backup rule of diversification. Crazy to take the hit and still be okay. I could go back in with 100k but may as well go to Vegas with that attitude :/

Fox_Technicals
Fox_Technicals May 25, 16 3:40 PM

@SmokemJay Market Wizards is one of the best trading books you'll ever read. It changed my trading dramatically listening to what the best traders in the world went through and the way they approach the markets. Also @DaveSD80 is right Mark Douglas is the standard for trading emotions, can't go wrong with his books either.
