Top Plays
I am going to finish this watchlist off by going over a lesson I learned when I lost $600+ trading $SCON today. Even though this is one of my biggest losses (stock moved to fast to cut profits short), I learned a vital lesson in that play. I am going to tweak my strategy from strictly buying breakouts to dip buying. I do very well buying breakouts, but $SCON was due for a red day and I bought anyways when it broke out at the open. Just like it did a couple months previously, it had a very weak breakout and crashed down quickly on day two. With dip-buying, I am going to start buying strong support areas only risking about 2-8 cents. I can still profit well this way, and I am giving myself a very small risk factor of a few pennies if it breaks support. This was an expensive lesson, but it made me realize that buying breakouts is not the only way to grow my account.
$DRYS, $GLBS- $DRYS and $GLBS are both in the shipping industry that have been known for their insane recent spikes. $GLBS has been holding its gains pretty strongly, but I know that this stock is due for a crash any day. I am looking to buy into the dip on some strong support for 30-40 cents/share. I am watching the two and $SINO since they all are in the same sector.
$SCON- $SCON is up on news with a 4.5 million dollar deal funded by the D.O.E. I misplayed this completely today as I said above, but this stock bounces off support nice and is a low floater. This has an ugly yearly chart and could continue to fade into tomorrow.
$PZRX- Has been boring for the last two days, congrats to shorts who banked off this. Longs should have been scared out at pre-market the day after the spike when it tanked aggressively. No play for me since I cannot short with ToS, and this stock most likely fade back to the one's within the next couple of days.
$FNMA- Had a beautiful uptrend on this chart today, and is publishing numerous press-releases trying to get some trading volume on this thing. Even though it closed near the highs of the day, I'd be scared to hold over night since this stock can tank quick. I would not short unless you can get a breakdown confirmation. Don't be too early or you will be SQUEEEEZED.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow!
FNMA hasn't published any press releases. I believe you're referring to articles published by the NYT, WSJ, Bloomberg, etc. about FNMA & Trump's treasury secretary. They're not "trying to get some trading volume on this thing." There's trading volume on this thing because of what legitimate news sources are reporting on.
