I am in the same boat. I have been at this for a month and a half and I find that he says the same thing over and over. It is awesome because it is sticking. I look forward to hearing how your journey. Keep at it. As Tim says, this is hard work.

keep it up mike. I started around the same time and started trading at the beginning of feb. definitely harder in real time than when I was studying but working toward being more decisive. Keep up the great work and i also look forward to seeing your progress! DEDICATION :)

@Fruitarian Yes Ive tried paper trading, but like you said it doesnt give me that kick and its not even my money, where if I am trading with my money I am able to spot little details more effectively whereas paper trading I have the chance to be reckless without any consequence. IDK, I am more of the type of guy that likes to get in the action with small positions and learn from mistakes, as you can see I haven't done too much damage yet.

@damnitgoose I am going to stay away from Robinhood, I am more than happy sacrificing $10 to trade and having good execution and up to date info versus no commission but things don't execute correctly or only some. Its like an offbrand cereal, I'd rather pay the extra $2.50 to have that savory taste. Thanks for the recommendation though!

Sometimes bad executions are just bad Wi-Fi. I had that with ESEA I couldn't place the order on time due to connections so got filled high at 3.57, lucky got out even.

of life before trading. I'm hoping to trade for a living at some point when I have enough time in to get a decent pension and not have to get a real job. Trading is just as much 'work' as anything else is but you can't let it consume you like you said; gotta take care of the home-front first. Nice post.

@Palmer some days we have to take things one day at a time and other days one hour at a time. We can all do this to provide more freedom for ourselves and our families if we stick together and learn from each other and learn from @timothysykes
