@Ike Hello, mate! Can you give some tips and advice on platform software prefered? And maybe about a starting broker for people with small starting cash amount? Thank you for your blog posts! Very inspiring! :)
The only broker I use is Interactive Brokers and it is ideal for small accounts because the commission is extremely low if you are using a small amount of shares. The only problem if you are in the U.S. is the Pattern Day Trader Rule if you have less than $25k. Suretrader is one way to avoid that rule so make sure you look in to that option too
Thank you! And what about the software platform you use? IB Trader Workstation or ?
@lke hey how much are commission's on interactive brokers?

@HudsonTrades hey how do you find your earnings winners. I always seem to be two days late or the next day after its moved so much already.

@Ike hey I was just wondering how you spot earning winners and what you look for in the mornings that will make you decide to choose a stock or not.? Thanks
how do you find earning winners ??
@dfrias just seeing this coment sorry for the late response, i look for %gainers, then see what was the catalyst, both spike in reation to earnings

earning * hah
look for the biggest % gainers on a scanner then go to yahoo finance to find the news. If they just reported earnings and it spiked its an earnings winner. An earnings winner is the REACTION to earnings so a company can report good or bad earnings and not be an earnings winner.
@TBEKG Thankyou!1

@dfrias I found that think or swim doesn't have many trades. By accident I shorted today on think or swim paper account. You probably know this but click sell to open and it should short. It will usually prompt you with we don't have these shares to short, contact our desk if you want us to find these shorts.
Nice Stig. I was doing the same thing, Just start looking at where your support and resistance are being created so that you don't feel like your chasing it all over the place. OR at least that was my take on it after reviewing what I did! nice blog
Thanks! Yeah it's hard when I'm watching the stock like a hawk, nervous and full of emotions. Gotta learn to control it over time I guess
Thankyou @viodave21

@timothysykes Tim or anyone who can help. I have sure trader and there graphs suck. I know you have stockstowatch software but I can't afford it yet. Is there some place I could watch good graphs live for free. Also How about a free level 2? Anybody who knows the answer to this please help.
This helps me a lot, too. Missoula, thanks for asking. Jonatan and ngucapital, thanks for the answers.
that only last 60 days though until they cancel the e-trade account ? @jonatan10soto @missoula5454
If you don't fun the account, it lasts 60 days. You need to understand that level 2 is not free and this is just a neat trick you can do to have a good level 2 for free.
etrade pro is what you should bee looking for. They also have level 2

@RayyDaBull how do you look at pre market scanners ??
I'm currently using TOS as my trading platform as I get started. On the right hand side you can add widgets, "use the news" has premarket scans

@nathalietrades1 Thank you. I'm still learning like everyone else :)
@dfrias Awesome. Your bang on the money with price action :) . I've been away from my desk since I posted this article at 6:30am this morning. If I had seen the news release that was released at 7am I would have been prepared for the price action and waited for the break out at $4.20 and exited my position around $4.65ish. I'm still waiting for my trading account to be set up at the moment, but this is how I would have played it with my real money. Awesome trade for $460 for you... High Five :)
Here's Your catalyst that made this stock volatile today: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/anavex-announces-preparation-regulatory-filings-120000662.html
Typo... I meant $4.30 as my break out entry point!
