$NUGT JNUG Probably up 10-15% tomorrow if GCM6 and MGCM6 are still over +10$ by 9am and volume needs to be up to normal levels(somewhere around 50-100k before US Open). Check http://www.cmegroup.com/ NOTE: very volatile stocks.

I have to study more closely your strategy because it seems risky seeing the volatility of the stocks

@elliottmagic I would not attempt to follow this strategy yet. I am still working on all the metrics and building a solid knowledge-base. There are some MAJOR factors you have to keep an eye on or you can get hosed over very fast and not know why. Initially I thought that CME futures price trend was the most reliable factor but, I have uncovered much more detail to determine the trends. Currently I can decently predict % movement throughout the day and am working on clarifying the underlying fac

@elliottmagic underlying factors. 1 key to remember is that gold or oil by itself doesn't move an index but the equities in the index will respond certain ways to commodity price and volume. Take a look at this spreadsheet I started building last night. It is designed to generate some data I am wanting to evaluate BUT it shows the top 10 equities in the bull/bear ETFs for Oil and Gold. You can see the influence of the "underlying" equities if you open the sheet up during trading hours. The sprea

Easy Money every day. ??? So I have been working on a new strat the last 2 weeks. It seems to work pretty dang well but, takes a little bit of early morning research everyday. If you are new to the game, as I am, you may want to look at only playing Direxion ETFs x3. (or x2/x1 if you want a safer slower moving equity) http://www.direxioninvestments.com/etfs They are fairly easy to predict if you use the CME Futures Marketplace for intel http://www.cmegroup.com/ . The CME futures are realtime 24/7 because they match all the world markets. So you know whats up and whats down before the market even opens. BEWARE PREMARKET TRADING on futures info. The premarket can be inflated and instantly drop the second more buyers/sellers come in at 9am. It can also work for you. Usually there is a massive dip in premarket even on trending futures, you can buy at the dip and be a bit safer. Never buy at the premarket high. Rule of thumb is to see what the closing price of the previous day is and try to buy the ETF around that price because it will NOT match it most of the time. You can look at an equity sector on CME and then find a matching Direxion ETFx3 and it will generally follow the futures quote for the day (Barring massive intraday swings of the futures market). Best part is Direxion has the best ETFs (imo) and their inverse(bear) funds are just as good as the bull funds. So you can play the market up OR down, however you like. It is best not to hold this for multiple days unless there is a huge futures trend. The second the futures swing the funds will swing also but a good rule of thumb is to hold the ETF for the entire day especially if the future holds steady or goes up. Watch DRIP / GUSH for oil moves on the CME futures market. Watch $DUST JDST / $NUGT JNUG for gold moves and $TNA / $TZA for small cap index moves. Best part is you can match the CME charts to the Direxion charts from the past to see the correlation on moves.$ERX / $ERY for major oil producer moves (Exxon, Chess, Occidental, etc) I am putting together a little presentation on this with my trades and it is very interesting indeed. Will post sometime in the next few weeks once I have more data. Good luck out there! Let me know if this nets you any cash!

@elliottmagic I am compiling the data right now and will post a complete "How-To guide" when I am satisfied with it. So far it is working fairly predictably and I have focused on understanding it better.

This strategy is proving more difficult to nail down than originally anticipated. The miners shares tend to swing a lot more on sentiment than previously expected. I expected sentiment to follow commodity value but it seems to hinge more on other factors more so. Commodity value does have influence but not as much as I thought. Still working.

$UA ....HUGE loss today... #1 biggest loser on the market.... : ( So... I have picked 5-#1 winners and 1-#1 losers in 60 days........ Physch! It's WINNER #6 !!!!!! It's a 2:1 stock split!!! Hoorah!!! : D Bought into it 15 days prior! I give it all to God. I have no idea what I am doing really... no idea...just pressing buttons... : / Sorry if I am excited, it is just really cool to me.

elliottmagic Apr 09, 16 2:16 PM

Ok I understand the logic behind. So let's see how the stock reacts at the opening on Monday, if it will lure in more buyers than usual. I don't have knowledge in stock splits but I imagine it must be a subsequent cost for the company , otherwise a lot more companies would do it to attract buyers

I also wanted to say that I was pretty impressed with your prediction on SKYS on the 06th. You told me you were working with a spreadsheet with over 100parameters. I don't have a big enough account to trade stocks over 10$ I think but I would still be interested to hear about your strategy.

@elliottmagic UA Monday... I am not making a prediction for monday. You could add the average volume of bolth UA and UA.C (The new stock) to see if they are higher. But, that wont tell you anything really because trading volume changes dramatically from day to day in any single stock. It will take 1-4weeks to see an average volume change. It's a long time to wait. If you go look at Google(Alphabet) split from last year it would tell you more of the long term movement after splits. I think all sh

From a fundimental analysis shorting is even worse. The reduction in price since Jan has been drivin by rising strength in Dollar vrs Yuan(which is reversed dramatically now within the last 10days) and the rise in value is based off of HUGE positive guidence for the next quarter.

I made 1k off SKYS Thursday Friday last week... You have to ask yourself what would drive a stock down so hard on a day where the entire market is on fire and there is absolutely no news(unless I missed something).

@elliottmagic I use a very unique aproach and I am VERY particular about who and what I listen to when learning. The first thing you got to realize is most people actually don't know why a stock will move. People get paid millions of dollars a year to understand this and they work for major investment banks and they don't tell anyone anything because it is worth too much money.

@elliottmagic I paper traded for 2 years trying some mdifferent theories and I have a method now that is almost 95% accurate. I know that is crazy to say, but I have made 15K off of 54K in my first 59days.(Feb8 was my first move into the market.)

@elliottmagic I would have to say my methode has a ton of instinct to it as I am a totaly novice trader BUT I am 100% confident in EVERY trade I make. Oh, and I don't lose money ever unless I want to. And who wants too?

@elliottmagic [In my humble and novice opinion] ...It's a theory I am working on. I've paper traded it for a few months now and it allways works.(a rare statement). I have not tried this at large volume because I am not risking much money until I have a metric and then test the bounds of that metric. I don't trade the commodity I trade companies with a heavy core in 1 commodity. Oil is my FAVORITE example. It is like clockwork. I can even tell you how much I am going to make before I even buy. S

NoviceUnicorn Apr 07, 16 9:51 PM

@elliottmagic So I will explain this strat but I won't tell you what companies I do it in because it will be better for you to create your own knowledge base. I don't know the volume metric and it's effect yet. (ie, the more you trade something, you push the volume and effect the profit of your trades. It is a core concept used by large players known as a "pump". Pump is nothing but volume manipulation and a core reason to avoid half the stocks people on this forum talk about.

NoviceUnicorn
NoviceUnicorn Apr 08, 16 1:02 AM

@elliottmagic I was going to link an extensive file that I created on this strat but, I think I need to rework it. There are like 100 factors to think about to do it correctly and I don't have it written very clear. I will work on clarifying it and send it to you. SO much of trading is instinct and broad market knowledge because there are like 100 things that impact the movement of price in a stock. It can't be packaged as easily as people want to sell you that it can be.

elliottmagic
elliottmagic Apr 08, 16 7:39 AM

@NoviceUnicorn well if you could send this file to me i would be really interested. I'm currently writing my master thesis and I really contrate myself on "consistent profitable strategies" and try to come up with statistical results.
