This is amazing; such a thorough and helpful watchlist! Thank you. Can you remind me of what it means to risk the red move? Still learning!

Hey! I am just going to quote an excerpt from your watchlist as a reference to what I mean: "FGD: im mostly watching for spike, consolidation, spike or news in the am with bids stacking for potential morning spike or even the red to green move risking the red. (new theory im testing that I kind of like as I don't like anticipating the red to green unless I see the right momentum)."

Sorry that may not have been necessary lol. I was just wondering what you mean by "...or even the red to green move risking the red." I understand what a red to green move is but am a little confused on what risking the red means. Thank you so much for your willingness to help! :)

Hi! I joined the challenge back in 2016. However, I was so eager to make money that I focused more on trading when I should have been focusing on studying. Anyway, I feel lucky to be back in the challenge. I have a whole new perspective now, and enjoying the studying journey!

Hi Evan been in the challenge since 2019. Last two years working 10 hour days not much trading. My co worker got me back in to market watch. I am recovering from knee replacement for 6 to 12 weeks. Will be working on my trades more paper and money. Haven't seemed to find my successful trading stragedy yet. How about you? I usually use fidelity and now TD ameritrade. Maybe we can grow learn and be profitable this year. Good luck you Evan. Want o break the loss train as of late, mostly small los

Troy, thank you again for all your input! I really appreciate what you share in the chatroom/the strategy your are addressing. Also, I am inspired by your profit chart! If you don't mind me asking, are you a full time trader?

I'm not a profitable trader I had my first break even month last month after 5 months of losing and I think you need to stop scalping all together. You will be getting destroyed by commissions and it's just not good ROI. Limit yourself to two trades per day MAX. Sometimes there may be no great play for an entire week! If you do this you'll at least break the downtrend you're currently in.

Is it possible that the only reason you're scalping is because your scared of losing? I did that when I just started trading. The second and stock did what I wanted, I got out of the trade to lock in profits. And the second a stock dipped I sold out of fear.

I lost a lost of money like that. To combat that I now trade with a 500 dollar position size on robinhood. That's right, position size not risk amount. I'm trading with this little to help curb my fear. I'll be OK when I'm down 30 bucks but not when I was 300. Maybe something you could try instead of paper trading which takes out all the emotion?
