Accountability post 08/18/2020-09/20/2020 I took a little time off this month. My parents finally moved here to Vegas where I can help take care of my mom. She is fighting stage 4 cancer. To add insult to injury, I am one of 18,000 employees that were permanently laid off on August 31, 2020 from MGM Resorts International. I worked for this company for 23 years, and the past few weeks I have suffered from major feelings of identity loss. My trading has suffered a little. I have had a losing streak, but I have not chased any losses. I have tried to limit my trading this month instead, so that I can help my mind recover from this blow. I am glad that I have been able to stay green overall, even though I am at a $550 loss for this month. I am working on getting my head back into the game, so writing this accountability post is a start. I have managed to view all of the live webinars and emailed videos for the last month. I have finished the 30 Day Bootcamp. I finished the DVD's, "Tim Fundamentals Part Deux" and "Penntstocking Framework" I have finished all of the DVD's except "How to Read SEC Filings", which I only have one disk left to watch. I am still reading "How Yoga Works" by Geshe Michael Roach. I am halfway done with it. I am halfway done with the Taxes for Traders course with Tracy Coenen. I have been watching the video course and reading the book. I am still listening to "Market Wizards," but my gym going has been spotty lately. I overworked my lower back muscle moving boxes, so I'm afraid I over trained a bit. I took a week off from lifting to heal.

How did you get to the Tracy Coenen course? I have emailed gone to the website with different browsers and can not ever get a response or anything from there. I imagine getting a local accountant would be a way to go too, but what do you think of that course?

@gil_fl It is a good course. It covers a lot. She talks about futures and options too. Long term investments as well. When I signed up for the challenge, they sent an email from Wordpress with a link to reset my password. I just clicked on the link and made a new password and I have been able to access it ever since. I will help you tomorrow. Maybe we can figure it out for you.

@gil_fl I use it for scanning, but I haven't had too many issues with ToS today. I couldn't get my charts to load mid-day, that's it. I have heard a lot of people were having issues too. I am not sure I will trade tomorrow, all I have been trading lately turn out to be duds! My daughter has a virtual orientation for school tomorrow morning, so my schedule is not going to be cooperative. I just realized I thought today was Wednesday! Need to change the watchlist title to Wednesday instead of

Hi friend! I hope you are gearing up for a good weekend. I do not know where this week went, or maybe it is just my brain that is missing in action. If you find it tell it to come back please

@gil_fl I don't know where this week went either! I had to get my daughter ready for online school which starts next week, so I couldn't trade the last couple days. I'm ready for a relaxing weekend!

@gil_fl Thank you for being so supportive! I was thinking of you when I was cracking jokes with the nurses, lol. I think that having a younger person in there was a nice change for them, haha!

Thanks for sharing. I bet your trading profits will eventually eclipse your past job earnings. Just remember to cut losses quickly.

Accountability post 07/22/2020-08/04/2020 I watched all of the live webinars and emailed video lessons for the last two weeks. I am almost done reading "The Complete Turtle Trader" by Michael Covel. I am still reading "How Yoga Works" by Geshe Michael Roche. I finished the audio book, "Market Wizards" by Jack Schwager. I was going to get the next one in the series, but I decided to listen to the original one more time. I really enjoyed this book! I finished the "Trading Tickers" DVD. Loved it and will revisit it again in the future. I was contacted to do a review on it for $50 and I did. The guy is probably making more in affiliate payments then he paid me, but I thought it was cool to get paid for something I wrote, haha! I also finished the Tim Raw DVD. Not my favorite, lol. It's right up there with Timline. I started the DVD, "Reading SEC Filings." Michael Goode actually does wonders to make this subject interesting. It's not as bad as I thought, but I am still only taking it in half hour chunks. It does tend to make me sleepy if I go longer. Last week I had to help my parents again. They drove down to Vegas with a load of stuff, and we put it in their new apartment. I also had cataract surgery in my right eye. I went blind about 8 years ago from diabetic retinapathy after I gave birth to my daughter, so I had to have a surgery to correct my vision in both eyes. The surgery made it so that my cataracts would progress faster than normal. It was crazy when I got the surgery, because I was the youngest person in the surgery center! Anyway, I was busy again these past two weeks, so that's all of the studying I got done. I spent most market days looking at the market and practicing a few trades. I was really proud of most of them. I practiced my r/m strategy, but I might be cutting the trades too quickly. I have to remember to try to hold past 10%. I don't have this problem when I play options. I have been doing more research on trading options, and hopefully I can learn a couple of good strategies to supplement stock trading. I am able to make a nice little profit off of a small position. I am very comfortable in options trades. I played options 3 more times the past two weeks on $SLV.

@gil_fl I had Vitrectomy surgery in both eyes. They take the vitreous fluid out and replace it with silicone. My vitreous fluid was saturated with blood, which is why I couldn't see. I don't know what it is about the surgery that makes cataracts progress faster. My doc told me to expect it and it happened.

science is so amazing! I was an operating room nurse 100 years ago, and I was in those cataract cases. Are you all done with that? When do you go back? Best wishes! I remember how patients go to sleep and when they woke up they can see clearly for the first time in a long time

@gil_fl I get my left eye worked on this coming Thursday. I was unconscious for my vitrectomy surgerites, but for the cataract surgery I only had general anesthesia. I was awake during the whole thing. I had to stare at a light the whole time. It only took about 15 minutes and he was done. It was super easy!

Wishing you and your family well! You certainly have a lot on your plate. I am loving options and just recent I found this on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PM4rNDr4oI it is an almost 3 hour video but it is outstanding! That and Mark Croock's options bootcamp that should be in the webinar section is a great start.

LibertyBelle Aug 06, 20 2:36 PM

@gil_fl Thanks! I watched the Bootcamp twice, and there is an earlier webbie he did in 2016 that I watched too. I am in Mark Croock's Evolved Trader service as well. The alerts are great, but I want to learn different strategies, so I bought an options book on Amazon to learn more. I'll definitely check out the link to that video you posted too.
