I feel like I should be on the next episode of hoarders.... how do you let go of a stock that you have been watching? There are some that are easy to delete that never matured into anything. But still, I am seeing that my watchlist keeps growing with stocks that came up on radar previously but have not yet developed and I am not ready to cut the line. Or - that one on an old watchlist has finally developed and might be tradable tomorrow. (ex: $CVEO is right at a breakdown level at 2.80 - potential play for Monday morning)? Multiple watchlists grouped by time? Grouped by where they are in Tim's framework (1-7)? Any other hoarders out there who have figured out how to clean house?
OK - One way is to tweak IB Workstation to try grouping tickers into Watchlists by where they are in Tim's Pennystocking Framework #1-7 as a start and see how that goes.....
Another idea might be to use the actionable areas between Tim's Framework as the sorting method to group tickers into watchlists. So maybe 5 watchlists grouped at trading points:
Yielding 5 Watchlists to group tickers:
I have been at the same place you are at right now. What I have is 4 watchlists: 1 index watchlist, 1 sector ETF list, 1 "Close Watch" list with stocks I want to keep under radar, and a Top Watch one that, as the name says, holds only the stocks I will focus at.
I usually set alerts around key prices and forget them
@redwolf90 How close do you set your alerts toward target? A % or certain number away? Thx
Usually about .05 away from breakout price but if it's constantly testing the area I'll put it like .15 away just to make sure
