used a contingent order to buy this call option at the market when SPY is less than or equal to 395. it went to a low of 394.98, and I just took the quick profit. next 5-min candle after I sold did go lower, down to 394.78. curious is the 15-min trend line will hold, since 5-min looking super bear-flaggy

Entry comments: buying the dip near 396 prev resistance turned [hopefully] support and near VWAP.

Exit comments: 10:35 entry | changed my mind about being in the trade. the high was 397.57, and four 5-min candles were above 397+ at some point, but not a single 5-min candle opened or closed above 397. it started looking more like a 397 rejection than anything else

Entry comments: bought this call at the bottom of the down-trending line from a potential bull flag

Exit comments: bought the re-test of the line, didn't work though. maybe it was just up too high already and needed a bigger pullback for breather. we were at 375 pre-market before CPI came in. I bought this call just under 389 after 390 test failed a few times. probably should have waited till 388, closer to VWAP. those contracts already went from like 1.95 to 2.50 almost immediately after I was stopped out. | Later comment: should have been paying more attention to larger timeframes, 10 & 15 min

Entry comments: my thesis here is that we're going to trade in a tight range today, the day before CPI. Last month, on the day before CPI day, we traded within a < $3.50 range. I bought near the low of the range of the day, which has been a little more than $3 so far, risking $1, thinking we won't trade in a $4+ range today.

Exit comments: not sure if I got lucky here because shortly after 1 PM we broke the range and continued lower, ending the day with a range of 7.53, much higher than I was guessing. wonder why.

Exit comments: wow, it would have hit my 3-point price target, but of course this time, for a change, I decided to take profits along the way... ha.

bought the pullback after a huge 5-min candle burst up through VWAP. I was up about 1.5 pts on it when it squeezed up to test HOD and I moved my s/l to breakeven. hit my s/l.
