I think many of us have defiitely been in similar situations, let me try to read my own thoughts. 1. Was Michael Goode right in the begining? 2. When does the market finally become sane again 3. You know that short position is going to kill you over this 3 day weekend right? 4. how do I go from consistent profits to the crappy losses I've had since F'in June? 5. Does Tim care more about schools in 3rd world countries than his own community on Profit.ly? 6. My inability to cut losses seems simila
6. My inability to cut losses seems similar to not being abil to walk away from an argument or fight, why do I not have the ability to just walk away?
1. Maybe 2. When the world becomes sane again 3. Yes, don't do it 4. The market is difficult & choppy...reviewing Ross Cameron/Warrior Traders helps me with market issues...a momentum trader recaps daily on youtube 5. It seems that way, huh? 6. Hold & Hope goes too far, and we have to stop it, hardest thing to do. Good luck!

@Turbobob That's real dedication. Which strategy has been most profitable for you this year? Or which pattern has been the most consistent in 2k17?
@Turbobob Also in the CRBP you've mentioned 17 days to cover. Could you go into detail what that means?
I generally buy break outs or 1st pull backs.
@Aristotle Watch his video lessons, you'll know what it means

I feel I am doing the same thing, as in holding position far too long. I believe it comes from the PDT Rule (atleast for me). Knowing that if i cut my losses quickly, i waste a trade and if the perfect play comes up, i could be locked out. Not sure about your account size but do you feel limited in that regard?
@mazeetwazaad No, I just have too much hope that the stock will rebound and erase my mistake.

This is 100% true, I wrote a blog post where emotions influence my decision making mid day which is why I limited myself for just ONE day trade a day, I might even get back to paper trading just to gain confidence in patterns
@Skiwi I came up with a video on the subject: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qg9sOJoOWjY

@Skiwi I am watching the chart to see where a good entry is based on the chart action.
pattern number #5, past support levels and level 2.
@tappingtapp absolutely above support levels, usually what I have witnessed is that the bounce occurs when a support level is reached. Then the stock moves higher. It then goes sideways (usually) until it (hopefully) falls again. I rely mostly on the chart to guide me, but I haven't been taking advantage of it like I should.
@tappingtapp Where did you get that pattern number? Is it from a DVD?

Many, many others will have gone down the same route learning similar amounts. GOOD LUCK in 2017 glad you're on the right track.
Thank you for your transparency. Also, I appreciate the details you log in your trades. Good stuff. Best of luck to you!

It takes it out if it comes straight from your broker. If you input it yourself it doesn't
yeah profit.ly has broker intergation for most firms
I think it extracts it from the total consideration paid and received divided by number of shares.

I had fidelity and recently transfered most of my assets to Etrade. I strongly recomend STT for scans or Etrade. I found the active trader pro to not be very user friendly and did not fit my style. I still have a small fidelity account but Etrade much better for shorting, fidelity never had shares available
I don't like Fidelity's scanner. It's very basic. So I use EquityFeed. Yes, you have to call them for hard to borrow shorts. Try calling them in premarket hours to get the stocks you want to short. I don't change the color for the level 2 feed. I like Fidelity's customer service, but I will probably use another broker soon They are very limited.
@profitsGalore Pretty much my thoughts on Fidelity so far, I feel like they are much better for investments
