Two FOMOs this morning. One got me, one almost did. $MNKD was on my watchlist for more news (buy recommendation) and also was gaining in extended hours. $ROKA, however, was not. $ROKA didn't have any catalyst I could find, but I remembered $LINU last friday and $KURA a month ago... However, today is not Friday. I got in anyway and barely got out. If I had held longer I could have gotten out on the next spike up, but hope isn't a plan so I took a tiny gain for a break even, basically.
This took me away from $MNKD, however, which, being on my watchlist, should've taken priority. I missed my entry around $6.10-20 where it was holding support and got in waaaaay late on the spike instead of waiting for the first pullback. This put me behind the eightball, where if I'd just waited until it held steady around 6.50-55, I could've made a nice little 30-40 cents/share.
Down about $15 today in all, not a good day, only one day trade left on my Ameritrade account, and no etrade day trades until friday. A waste of time, for what?
Basically, FOMO. I didn't want to miss a streaker, I chased, and I got a little burned. Not too bad, but still not a good thing.
this happens to everybody - be grateful that you didnt loose lots of money and learn from it so you will come back stronger next time !
