@rugby Trying to get an understanding of your trading style, your longer term positions seem to fit my risk appetite and preference a bit more than other styles I've seen. Do you use any indicators? Even something as simple as a 200 SMA, or are you strictly clean chart support/resistance levels only? Thanks.

@rugby would the Elliot Wave Theory be one of those cycles or something similar to it?

Most stuff out there is too slow for leveraged ETFs, my goal is to get in and out with $500 to $1000 gain in as short as time as possible using 1000 shares+/-. Any charting technique is going to show you what you should have done after you should have done it. Longer plays, sure, give it a go BUT you will miss lots of $$$ while you wait for the longer move. My technique is a blend of charting, history and feel for the ETF

Do you just call and ask for lower commission fees?

Arussell125
Arussell125 Nov 10, 16 10:22 PM

Told them i trade way more than 15 times or ao a quarter and needed a better comm structure

Did you ever figure out this issue? I don't see how your commissions were $160? 4.95/trade x2 is $10 + $30 ECN fees = ~$40 in commissions. What else were you charged? I have been using them for a couple of weeks now and agree with Arick that you need to win a bit bigger to cover the costs of trading with them. I too have had greed days that turn into red days because of fees. Sucks, but part of the game of getting around PDT. Hope things have gotten better for you since this!

@rugby How have you not lost one trade? Trying not to be skeptical. If legit this is amazing!

rugby Sep 16, 16 10:16 AM

I had my losses in 2009, before I started posting on here. I have an occasional loss when I fat finger a limit order but it's all about how far you let the trades run and I am pretty tight on my limit orders

@rugby What do you think of being long $TNA @73.10 for a swing-trade bounce off of support?

rugby
rugby Sep 15, 16 9:30 AM

I am always long TNA, 73.10 is a price, maybe not the right one, open is 72.93

@rugby Hey there,I'm really impressed on how successful you are becoming at trading stocks. I'm new to profit.ly and have never traded before. But I do have knowledge about penny stocks since I have seen several videos and read many things from Timothy Sykes. Can you give me some good tips on how I should start trading? Tell me every step so I can get started?I would prefer to learn from people like you who have mastered the stock market!

I wasn't good at penny stocks so I went to what I was good at, leveraged ETFs, nice volatility without window shopping, just pick you entry and exits!

Very interesting. How would i start leveraging ETFs, and how much capital will i need to start with

I have played with almost every size account from $500 to $2.5 million, smaller accounts require longer hold time OR smaller gains per trade, I choose smaller gains usually and get more of them.
