JaymoneyJan 16, 16 2:51 PM

Great words of wisdom.

teentraderJan 16, 16 2:58 PM

I was (before this video) always focused on commissions.. In this market I should focus on buying pre market gainers when they break the HOD with volume!..

stinnett25Jan 16, 16 3:01 PM

Thanks for the insight Tim! As for the mine field, I'm making it but I'm not whole. Rookie mistakes. But watching the dvd's and your videos are helping. Just haven't broke that positive barrier yet.

MaerskJan 16, 16 3:11 PM

what price will current subscribers pay to renew later on in the year? the same price they originally paid ($312 in my case) or the new price?

NetNinjaJan 16, 16 3:11 PM

Thanks for the video.

timothysykesJan 16, 16 3:18 PM

@Maersk you pay whatever plan you're currently on, if you want a new plan after tomorrow its a new price

wanderlust87Jan 16, 16 4:00 PM

@timothysykes Unfortunately I can´t use E*trade and Interactive Brokers for short selling, cause I live in Germany and my account is under $10.000. Just have an account with TD Ameritrade but even if they were good for shorts I couldn´t short with them because of my location. Can you recommend me another broker for my situation ? would really aprreciate it! already contacted your team, but I think they didn´t get me right.

smillie327Jan 16, 16 4:07 PM

Good analogy...Penny Stocking is like a minefield which makes your instruction exceedingly valuable in every current market...most especially, tho, with this big bad Bear coming ! : )

RalphaDogJan 16, 16 4:53 PM

@timothysykes Hey Tim, what is your opinion on TD Ameritrade? I like them so far but I have been having some issues with execution times. I have used etrade in the past and prob my favorite but I am currently in the 90 day waiting period for PDT violation

digitalsoftailJan 16, 16 4:59 PM

Dangerous Broker----> Good information to know, Thanks Tim

FutureTomJan 16, 16 5:27 PM

Tim if my newsletter subscription expires middle 2016 and I buy it now would that extend my existing newsletter by 1 year from expiration, or just 1 year from when I buy it?

valiantveganJan 16, 16 5:56 PM

@timothysykes please have a sale in the future for profit.ly dvd's and your challenge. I am going to be saving up. Thank you.

stinnett25Jan 16, 16 6:07 PM

Sale or no sale guys, this education is worth ten times the full price. I'll be waiting and studying till I get my chance at the challenge.

_kaizennJan 16, 16 6:11 PM

Good shit Tim.

JLLOYD30Jan 16, 16 6:36 PM

The only option for a small account is SURETRADER. There is no way around it. NO PDT and same day cash settlement. Other than that you are stuck. I like Etrades charts and level 2 (which is the best compared to any other platform). But as far as placing trades Das trader Pro is better (there level 2 runs a close second to Etrades level 2)

VanRyanJan 16, 16 6:43 PM

Lol $10 a share?? $20 a share?? I don't think you could make any money with this commissions! :P

ChasJan 16, 16 7:26 PM

good points to learn from.

SpockStock9999Jan 16, 16 8:03 PM

@wanderlust87 you may try "Lynx". It's the broker I use. They're in 'die Niederlande' and they use the Interactive Brokers platform. Their account minimum is €3000,- & you can short with a €2000,- account minimum. Unfortunately they do have the PDT rule. I dont know if they accept foreign customers byt you can always try.

HaydenHJan 16, 16 10:40 PM

When I start trading live definitely going to have two accounts with etrade and IB. I don't really like TOS platform and etrade looks so clean and simple to use.

SuperthermalJan 16, 16 10:56 PM

I am a newbie, bought Silver at the discount and am loving it! The videos your like feeling his losses or seeing the excitement in his voice as he gives you the lesson. I was totally laughing in the Moscow vids... Lol great introductions for the way to trade. THX Tim for making the discount. I would have never been able to get in without it. :) Superthermal:)

AashJan 16, 16 11:54 PM

Thanks Tim,

MaerskJan 17, 16 12:36 AM

@timothysykes -i understand that;my question (and i think others have asked this too) is if i stay with the same plan how much will i pay to renew later on in the year-$312 or $697?

MaerskJan 17, 16 12:41 AM

@tompumpanddump -if you try and buy now you will get an "already subscribed' message so you cant lock in this price now for another year after your subscription ends-ime tryng to find out how much guys who's subscription run out later this year will have to pay to renew....what they previously paid or the new higher price.....(?)

imahermitJan 17, 16 1:09 AM

Thanks Tim, For you that are still asking the question about if you are a member if your price is going to go up......You must not be watching all his videos. Each video he explains no less than 5 times that IF YOU ARE A CURRENT SUBSCRIBER, YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE HIGHER PRICE!!! The higher prices are only for new subscribers. Thank you for all you do Tim and team.

MaerskJan 17, 16 6:24 AM

@imahermit -you dont seem to be getting it-i know that CURRENT subscriptions are not going up-(I actually do watch all of tims videos)-my question is what price will i pay for subscription RENEWAL.........

prosperholistic1Jan 17, 16 7:07 AM

Really gave me something to think about...I had thought Robinhood was good for the really small investor just trying to get going due to the zero commission and no account minimum. But for someone like me and others who want the right mindset and want to grow the accounts exponentially, beefing up ETrade seems like the best way to go.

SimonSJan 17, 16 11:08 AM

Excellent lesson, great words of wisdom Tim, thanks.

AlphaJan 17, 16 12:35 PM

I put a few hundred in to try Robinhood for going long. I bought shares of LPTH for a breakout but it actually turned out to be a fakeout and when I tried to cut losses quickly Robinhood made me first fill out some "required" survey before I could exit the position. But then the platform wouldn't let me complete the survey and kept giving me an error. By the time I could get out LPTH was down $.50/share. I am wiring out asap. I agree with TIM--Robinhood is the worst broker. STAY AWAY!

The_SwedeJan 17, 16 3:35 PM

Awsome as usual... commisions is nothing to be scared of. if you are thinking of all the commisions then i bet you are overtrading and chasing trades

Taverf01Jan 17, 16 3:46 PM

@Maersk if you are a current subscriber you are grandfathered in the $312 price when it is time to renew mid year 2016. However if you are a new subscriber after the sale is over you then pay $697 thereafter to renew.

MaerskJan 17, 16 3:57 PM

@Taverf01 -g r e a t -but are you sure? how do you know?

Taverf01Jan 17, 16 4:31 PM

@Maersk I am certain that is what Tim Sykes has said multiple times on his videos as an incentive to weed out quantity and remain with quality subscribers going forward. Regardless of the new costs, it is a fraction of what it should cost based on the content of the lessons, the great people on the chat and the path to self sufficiency. Good luck.

wall_street_boyJan 17, 16 8:26 PM

Tim we need a video on how to use interacrive brokers..they dont want to help for shit..there costumer support sucks please help.there platform is confusing

MaerskJan 18, 16 12:20 AM

@Taverf01 -100% true-this chatroom is by FAR the best out there-but if i can get a ferrari for 1/2 price........:).....

centaurJan 18, 16 6:57 AM

What about for challenge students? How do you lock in the current prices for after the challenge is done?

MadbashJan 18, 16 10:32 AM

@wall_street_boy there are dozens of IB tutorials out there. It becomes easy if you just focus on the basics

DrinkmanJan 18, 16 1:01 PM

thank you TIm

Taverf01Jan 18, 16 1:18 PM

@centaur I guess your best bet would be to call directly to customer service and inquire about that since the expiration time of the yearly subscription is almost upon us. You are very fortunate to be a challenge student. I aspire to do that in the foreseeable future.

mbsdadJan 18, 16 7:49 PM

watched and learning!!

rpdataJan 19, 16 7:27 PM

Thank You... I agree

Thank You

rpdataJan 19, 16 7:40 PM

Thank you

AlexawolfFeb 19, 16 4:01 AM

Yeah I'm definitely staying away from Robinhood. Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to start trading with SureTrader on Monday or Tuesday, I'm going to plan on shorting because of the bear market.. Wish me luck!

Ferma2016Jul 31, 16 11:20 PM

Thanks for the info...

STickerDec 18, 16 2:09 PM

Having the right tools, IB, STT etc.. .that is what helps you make money!

TimeFliesBuyJul 22, 17 7:25 PM

I remember this time frame. Its cool when you start with video lesson #1 then finally catch up to where you joined. I always wondered why you started late now it makes sense. Your strategy is awesome, your teaching is awesome, I'm trying my best as a father of 3 to save money for the challenge, I battle over every dollar it seems, medical insurance has gone up each of the last 3 years.... the pain is real but I'm slowly getting there. I haven't deducted from my trading account even once.

HaywardAug 24, 17 8:56 PM

Thanks Tim!

popsmotoJun 10, 18 1:38 PM

I lost 1300 on Robin Hood in 2016. I immediately stopped trading with them. It was a 500+ dollar trade for me, which by the time it executed, was a 1300 loss.

piscott0306Aug 28, 18 3:04 PM

Great info about brokers.

HenryCraigAug 30, 18 12:53 PM

You cannot cheat your way to success. Learn from the past, study in the present, and prepare for the future.

StockbustersAug 10, 20 4:03 AM

Thanks Tim! Have learned: Robinhood does not allow Short Selling and does not allow Premarket Trading.
