- 10:43 AMoriginalkeithbgood morning
- 10:44 AMoriginalkeithbmaking watch list for tomorrow
- 11:20 AMsvijai1982Hello Ppl, I am a day old in this Tim's trading challenge, its so fascinating when I had a look at the orientation video from Tim. Apologies if this is a long chat message, wanted some guidance. I started preparing watchlist one of the ticker is UONE, in the past almost a year back there was a supernova, price rocketed to USD 54 plus in two days, now seeing a similar spike, is it heading for another supernova?
- 11:36 AMoriginalkeithbWell UONE hasn't ran in a while but when it did last year it spiked over a period of days and pulled back hard each time just like it did on Friday after hours (losing about 50% of its gain on the day). I have this on my watchlist and I will be looking to short this stock if I can
- 11:47 AMoriginalkeithbThe float on UONE is about 21 M so given enough volume from ape support and momo it might spike again and overwhelm historical resistance and squeeze, ill be watching it premarket for volume and pattern and wait until 9:45am to decide if it deserves focus
- 12:15 PMsvijai1982Thanks for sharing your view on UONE, keeping it as part of my watchlist for Monday movement
- 12:15 PMrndmoore604Just personal opinion. It should by pattern wise gap up up tomorrow. If it gets enough volume they manipulate it up to $30 area and then trap retail and sell off. 31 to 32 is major major resistance. Will have to gap up over that to go to 40. Now if it has a small red day. Be looking for major support to buy bounce for a short squeeze. Im playing gap up spike and short. Play bounces.
- 12:17 PMsvijai1982I just started on dip and buy pattern, let me see them during the pre-market, with TD am losing the 3 hrs pre market time.
- 12:18 PMrndmoore604Make sure you start off small. Real small. Learn to read tape, learn to read major support levels and identify support levels. And resistance. You learn the support, resistance and the why of them. You will jump the learning curve.
- 12:21 PMrndmoore604Well most likely if you ever wanna short a hot chick stock on TD. You wont bc they aren't a short broker. And not being able to trade at 4 am is ok bc alot of time its small share size that they run on. So being new it is good but once you get advanced, if you arent holding over night or looking to start averaging in. It is pointless in my opinion to wake up that early and trade. While learning it is extra screen time and reading charts so it's best to do it. But you are OK with not
- 12:22 PMsvijai1982Noted, sure. I am in Singapore, so its in teh afternoon the premarket starts, for me sitting the whole night to watch the play is bit tough after my day job. But yes starting small for sure. had been more on to fundamental stocks, started just a month back on penny stock and day trading.
- 12:24 PMrndmoore604I have trade around 75 stocks in last 6 months around 4 am. Only 11 on I really made money on. And then 30 I held and was getting out of trade on spikes. The rest was a waste of time so unless I'm nailing a top like amc. I dont personally wake up that early
- 12:26 PMsvijai1982yes agree on it, thanks for your guidance :-)
- 12:27 PMrndmoore604make sure you take all the 20% and up everyday and put them in an excel spread sheet. Keep up with them for a week or two. This will help with other strategies and what the market is doing as well. I day trade, swing alot of trades and do a ton of option trading now. So learn 1 pattern, and start learning another once you can consistently make money on 1 pattern. Then slowly add to your patterns.
- 12:28 PMsvijai1982Yes, for me identifying the supernova or sudden spike seem to be difficult, for now sticking on to dip and buy. very new to this so going to go small. Will definitely make note of the trading on an excel
- 12:29 PMrndmoore604No problem. No matter what. Cut your losses quick. Protect your capital and don't give up. I had 2 20k losses early on in my career and almost quit. So don't let losing get you down. Everyone does it and everyone almost quits or gets down on their self. It is ok and happens
- 12:30 PMsvijai1982Sure, thanks a lot for your support, will be off to bed now and start my day job tomorrow. Thanks will surely share my experience tomorrow
- 12:31 PMrndmoore604Good luck to you
