Because I am Canadian, exposure to U.S dollar once it peaks and turns downward, can negative affect my U.S positions, I have adjusted my strategy to increase TSX exposure with Canadian options. So, I avoid currency risk. Although the Canadian Option market is not has big as the U.S there are still opportunities. My gut feeling is that eventually the CAD/USD exchange rate will reverse (currently @ 1.301). The strong U.S dollar will hurt U.S companies bottom line soon (3-6 months lag).

Since, I started recording and actively trading, I have learned a lot. Actually, a lot of what NOT to do. Even with 73% of my trades turning a profit, I am still struggling somewhat. Mainly because I don't cut my losses soon enough, and my average loss is bigger than average gain. I've adjusted my strategy about 2 months ago to compensate, let's see how it works out for the rest of the year. Profit.ly really helps with Stats and own profit chart, it helps me to identify problem areas for correct trading behaviour. I closed off only 52 trades which makes me still a novice, but I think the more trades you do the more you learn...just have to tough it out.
