@Dan1322 I noticed on one of your comments that you said not to use Robinhood. Why not if I may ask? I have a small account and am just seeing if I go in a positive or negative direction with investing but if Robinhood is bad to use I would like to know why if you wouldn't mind elaborating

@OON I mean no disrespect but I see you have lost around $2k it appears. I may be wrong in reading it if I am I am greatly sorry but can you give me any advice, me being a new trader, to avoid this?

Trust me, none taken. And you do see that right I did take 2000 + in losses and I'm happy to give you some advice. FOr one I was inexperienced when doing these trades and on pinched time being in school and everything. Because I've made almost every mistake from chasing longs to chasing shorts it's been a long ride for me but I'm now able to accurately determine what not to do. Which bring me to my point, as a new trader I strongly advise you to paper trade. But not only that to take your paper

trading VERY seriously as if it's your real money, make every mistake possible it gives you an awareness like no other atleast of price action. It's okay to make mistakes but you have to learn form them and when you're comfortable start trading on your regular account but size in. Don't go too big use about 10-20 percent of your account at most.

and if you're in a stock and it's not doing what you want take a breath watch price action have specific points to where you know "Ok my thesis was wrong" be decisive, and GET OUT.

uhhhh that's the gist I have a few trades I've made here and there that I have to verify that are some real good examples but yeah

@zacharysifox Recently began looking into stocks. I see you have had your ups and downs through your time of trading. I also noticed that you always won small but when you lose, you lost big! Why was that? I'd prefer not to make that same mistake when I begin trading. Thank you for any and all advice!

Hey man, yeah as you can see I am about even on wins and losses.. I have streaks where I'm like "Okay, I'm gonna take small profits because they add up" and they do!! so DO THAT! The reason my losses are huge are because I have a problem with gambling and hoping that it will turn around! cut losses quickly!!!!
