IB is a good platform for executions but its Level 2 and OTC/Pink data feeds are not great. You will notice in Tim's videos, he overcomes this problem by using Etrade Pro's Level 2. Etrade Pro has one of the best Level 2s out there. Level 2s from direct access platforms like DAS Trader Pro, Sterling, Lightspeed are good also.

Make sure you are subscribed for the data feeds in IB properly also.

@TraderH Hey thanks for the insight. But isn't it a little annoying to be using 2 different platforms and switching back and forth. Wouldn't it be easier to stay in one place. Is the executions on IB that much better than Etrade?

@ForFreedom22 I think it's up to the person. You may want to combine the best of 2 worlds to make the best hybrid platform. You are trying to make up for a deficiency or weakness in a platform.
