have you held any of those trades overnight? if so, those don't count as day trades. a day trade is a buy AND sell in the same business day. hope that helps!
The way the PDT rule works is that you are allowed to purchase, and sell that same stock in the same day only three times a week. If you hold your position over night and sell later it does not count against your three trades. If you use Suretrader as your broker you're not subject to the PDT rule as Suretrader is not based in the US.
I know in TOS if they flag you you'll be asked to deposit the amount needed to bring your account up to 25K or they can suspend your account. You should call them. But like kyle said if you hold over night and exit the next day that is not a day trade. Brealing up one trade, buying 1000 shares exit 500 then 500 later in the same day is 2 trades....Call them.
yeah.. i haven't starting trading yet, i start on monday ,but you can always open up another account so you can make more trades then 3.
