@Turbobob Have you ever experienced a failure to close a position using a limit order in SureTrader/Das Trader? Today I was in LFIN and tried to enter a sell limit order for $22 to sell some shares to lock in a nice profit. The order rejected, with the message "No Cross Trade [1265]. I tried it twice, and finally entered a market order to close my position. Made 28% so no complaints, but I really wanted to hold some in case it pushed higher...which it did. Anyway, have you ever seen this error when trying to use a limit order to sell shares on a stock that is under restriction, with SureTrader?

I have not seen that messge before. But once in awhile I have had trouble with an order. Normally, I just close the program and re-start and it resets itself and is back to normal. But, there is no doubt it is very frightening when you are in a position and cannot exit.

You're telling me! I've reached out to them and hopefully will get a good answer.

They claim the sell orders were rejected due to a route disconnection, and the only thing to do is keep trying to sell and contact the trade desk immediately.

That is one of the problems with any of these companies located in the Bahamas is that the communication to the mainland is not always reliable. But at least your market order worked. But each broker has their own clitches. I think it was e-trade or one of the big names that was down for a few hours the other day in the middle of trading.

@jess Hey buddy. I just wanna ask how's your experience with SureTrader? I'm from Philippines. I don't have enough brokers to choose from most of them are not able to open an account if you can't meet the 25k requirements. 25k is really hard to earn here in my country it takes years that's why I wanna ask if suretrader is good because I've been hearing a lot of stories from them nowadays to get rid of them. I hope you can help me out. I'm currently paper trading.

It is $.01 per share so you need $.02 to break even. For me, it is the cost of doing business. And I always get good fills.

Every time you put in a new order you get chared the commission. But if you put in an order to buy and it takes to or three times to fill it is still one order and one commission

you can set your orders to AON you know... All or none, to avoid multiple orders.

@Turbobob $.02 to break even with 495 shares, as the minimum standard commission is $4.95 per trade.

@Arussell125 I see you use SureTrader. Do you find they have shorts available? I have TDAmeritrade and Etrade accounts and can never get shares to short which is very frustrating when you find good setups and can't take action. Don't have $50k for CenterPoint or $30k for Cobra.

@bestwin It's honestly great. But watch out before using leverage because they can liquidate you if you exceed margins etc. and Tim doesn't prefer trading using leverage but commission fees are great for small account and you can grow your account as well.

What do you mean by exceeding margins? I'm planning to open an account from them since it's the only choice that I have here in my country. Lol

@MichaelGoode Hello good sir, I'm wanting to open a SureTrader account in 2017, is it true that the IRS puts you in some weird list for having an offshore account, anything negative or is it immaterial? Can you link to something that describes how to do taxes with them, the extra rules, etc

Don't use this broker under any circumstances - trust me! Lots of hidden fees, almost impossible to withdraw money. I've been waiting almost three weeks for about $5k I want to move to another brokerage account. I've been charged about $180 in withdrawal fees as well that they claim are charged by their bank.
