This one popped up on my IB scanner mid-morning and had good price action. When it took a small pull back, I bought it and then waited for it to take another rip higher and sold quickly. Got out with a nice little profit. Keeping my trades under 5% to 10% percent of my total account value. This has proven to be a good way to mitigate risk for these early days. Building up my account slowly while I learn.

This was a disappointing trade because I basically bought it near its high for the day. I hesitated on going long on this one in the premarket at $9.30 a share and again after the market opened at $9.50 a share. This lack of confidence/courage cost me dearly because I just had to stare at it while it went to $13 without me. Lesson: be ready and don't hesitate when an opportunity presents itself. This was a known winner because it was a 1 month breakout.

Played this one well for the most part. I sold short in increments for the first time and this was very helpful. Covered the first half well and hesitated on the second half which ended up costing me some profits for not trusting myself. Lesson: Good to split orders up. Trust your exits. I confidently entered the position and it worked out great as an entry. If I had exited the last of my shares confidently, I would have profited more.
