Lucky to get out with a profit here as this stock was still running up.

This one popped up on my IB scanner mid-morning and had good price action. When it took a small pull back, I bought it and then waited for it to take another rip higher and sold quickly. Got out with a nice little profit. Keeping my trades under 5% to 10% percent of my total account value. This has proven to be a good way to mitigate risk for these early days. Building up my account slowly while I learn.

Saw a lower high after a big run-up the day before so I shorted it and it quickly went down. Covered shortly after that for a nice little gain.

This one I bought pre-market and sold quickly after the market opened. Good thing too, it went down quickly after that. I learned from missing out on the KURA run-up a few days ago, to get it while it's hot and if the price action starts to turn, get out.

This one popped up on my IB scanner mid-morning and when I looked it was a multi-month breakout so I went long. Should have held longer for a bigger gain.

$3 Profit
KURALong Stock

This was a disappointing trade because I basically bought it near its high for the day. I hesitated on going long on this one in the premarket at $9.30 a share and again after the market opened at $9.50 a share. This lack of confidence/courage cost me dearly because I just had to stare at it while it went to $13 without me. Lesson: be ready and don't hesitate when an opportunity presents itself. This was a known winner because it was a 1 month breakout.

Wanted to go short at 10.50 and cover near 9.99 or 9.98 but didn't pull the trigger on the entry or the exit correctly. Lacked courage. Will be more confident in my assessment next time.

Played this one well for the most part. I sold short in increments for the first time and this was very helpful. Covered the first half well and hesitated on the second half which ended up costing me some profits for not trusting myself. Lesson: Good to split orders up. Trust your exits. I confidently entered the position and it worked out great as an entry. If I had exited the last of my shares confidently, I would have profited more.

NVCNLong Stock

Went long in the early dips after a morning spike. Set my risk limit too high and stopped out on a small pullback. Holding until later could have made a little profit. Lesson: set risk in a place that will indicate a change in the trend

Tried to short this one again after a failed first attempt. It just ground around this level for the rest of the day. Not enough volume or volatility on this one as the day wore on.
