Weeks have been slow for any trading (plus still learning). Finally found a trade tonight with EURUSD. Not perfect but knew it would profit. My issue was how much? I stuck with rules, got out early and happy with how it went. Won't be surprised if it keeps going. This was a pattern trade with rules. Market was slow and dull until it broke out. Very low stress\high accuracy trade but I have a hard time finding them. It was also a fake trade as I was at work. These trades seem easy but the rules are super important. Very easy to lose money getting into a trade that has already moved. Super risky without a plan. Pretty sure most pro traders are actually pro waiters. :)

Last 6 weeks I've focused on volume in FX. Its bloody amazing and pulled off some great trades. None, of course, are real but I put in a lot of effort on these to get them right. Volume study has really paid off. This week my focus was JPY. First trade was down trending with strong resistance (among other things). 2nd and 3rd were Limit trades (massive Range, sold near resistance) and were stopped out as I couldn't watch them. Still work for a living! At least Im getting more winners now. Still, need more practice.

This was an interesting one. Form reading is really important with currency markets. I had this sucker worked out and was expecting it to go up. Trade was set but it moved really slowly. I got out with a tiny profit and it went the other way. It happens and I've gone over this trade over and over. I see where I misread the chart and overall, it looks like a downtrend or range.

My losing trade but happy how it went as I had rules and stuck to them. Unfortunately I had no time to watch it and thus the issue. Had I had time to watch the trade it would have been a big 'easy' win. Due to time restrictions I ignored the previous highest high and set my Limit end of work day. At home I had stuff to do. The trade did go to the HH (in red) thus stopping me out. Had I watched it I would have had 3 entry points and a profit. Oh well. Lesson: Don't ignore areas that can spike. Don't guess.

After months of study I've gone back to paper trading. I take this serious as shit and have decided to post. So far 4 trades, 1 not so good. This one went well but stopped out way too quick. Happy though. Very low stress trade using Urbanforex training. Stop and TP were set. Issue was with moving my stop. Lesson: Don't move them too far and leave some breathing room.

Aug 2018 - I wonder if anyone actually bothers reading this stuff? Ha! Slowest diary ever!! I'm now living\working in Melb and 2018s been busy! Completed my TradeWithMe course but the issue is time. If you can live on your PC all day\night you can make money with it but I simply can't do that. Bit of a catch22'. Still, no regrets, I'll try to use it for day charts. Finished another course months ago called UrbanForex. This is my last course ever. I'm done. I found my trading style and now just need daily practice which I'm doing. Tough course. No review for this yet. It's very different to others and not for everyone.

Well thats it for trading. I gave it a good go. I'll try again maybe in a month or so. Relocating to a new city requires a new job and home so that will be taking up my time. Until then, only study.

Jan 2018 - Worked my ass off this month with nothing to show. Crypto has taken a lot of the liquidity out of the market along with some other factors (to my knowledge anyway) leaving one of the worst January's in a long time for trading. Tradewithme course were VERY low on trades. I found a few UF course trades which did very well but I don't trade that yet (still learning). Feb is here so I have to find a job = less trade time. Dull start to the year.

Stock Market Courses ---- I've completed a few and looked at many others. I was keen to get started in trading and threw money at anyone to get a head start. A waist of money but a great learning experience. Below I have given my opinion on courses (or DVDs I still include as a 'course') I have paid for. Below I'll post my opinions and experiences taking on stock market 'educators'. Also some tid-bits of useful info...

Before you take on any course, what type of trading do they teach? Is it a style you would like to learn? Can you afford it? Are you willing to push yourself 100%? Will you meet the educator? Make sure you know basics of trading before you take on an educator as their courses are most likely badly managed, something you may only find out once its completed and you lose your access to ask them questions (or yell at them abusively).

Urban Forex (4 stars) --- Still studying online and perfect for my personal trading style. It's taken years to find what style of trading suits me as I want to know everything about why price does what it does. The course is very advanced, focused on Forex trading and learning to trade via price action. Although they teach this course as "easy not hard" its very hard. You need to study your ass off! Plenty of stuff on Youtube and they do the odd webinar if interested.NOT for the lazy!

Nearly time to trade realtime! Since Aug I have been working my ass off learning to trade the forex market. Its pretty tough but I have come a long way. Come Jan 2018 I'll be trying to trade properly and start posting info on courses I have taken over the years. Tons of info to share. Until then, have a great holiday.
