Hey Tim! Are you shorting or thinking of shorting ANVV again? Looks like it is starting the stair step up action again. Thinking of doing some digging on it to see if it is another promo or just a bounce. I know it was promoted pretty recently. Really enjoy your style of trading. thx for all the help
MGI. Really happy with this. Not sure the exact % because i scaled in and out, traded 200 share blocks getting up to 1000 share position at one point. initial entry was 3.5 area and added in the 3.4s. covered some in the 3.29 area and some in the 3.35 area. could have been a little more patient but glad to be safe since it felt like it might be ramping and wasnt making new lows. Should definitely have re shorted the bounce up to 3.45.
ARQL approx 50$ profit and 50$ loss netting to 0. Was looking for a red day, didn't really get it. traded the first time poorly, getting out at the dead top on my risk level. stayed in it and took a re short. could have added at the top near my risk for little added risk and it would have been a nice 10% gain instead of a scratch. - 200-300$ or so based on position size. Just a nice reminder to remain calm and respect my risk
Important books recently read- non investment related: High Performance Habbits - Brendan Buchard. 2. Stop Doing That Shit -gary Bishop (really good one, and funny!) 3. The Fountainhead - Ayn Rand (self mastery, very long, loved it but it isn't for everyone. Also if you're young this book, along with Atlas shrugged can be a bad influence on you. If you're not careful it is easy to use her teachings as justification for toxic narcissism. 4. Mastery by Robert Greene (language is a bit masculine in tone, but the message is good and can be helpful)
My reading list is as follows: Currently reading 1. Market Mind Games: A Radical Psychology of investing trading and risk by Denise Shull. 2. reminiscences of a stock operator (not yet started) Recently finished readings: 3. the daily trading coach (highly recommended) 4. The intelligent investor (read this 4x over the last year) 5.An American Hedgefund 6.The advanced stock market and day trading guide (not terribly helpful) 7. Intermarket analysis and investing (pretty good) 8. trading 4 books in 1: advanced tips tricks and trends (this was a good one for getting familiar with all technical indicators and terms and doesnt waste time trying to sell you on a chat room lol)
