ENTRY: Had small spike in the morning and was holding highs. Bought when it tested day highs of $2.18 in anticipation of a breakout on a small surge in volume. EXIT: Volume quickly faded and price dropped so I cut losses at $2.12 on the failed breakout. REFLECTION: Should have bought a higher low/dip to protect myself in the event of a failed breakout vice buying at the breakout level, which turned into a top.
ENTRY: Bought on a small dip based on price action indicating it would re-test breaking through $3. EXIT: Sold when it failed to break $3 for a small gain.
Traded on excitement, hope for a low probability breakout, and fear of missing out on money. Poor decision making, failure to evaluate risk to reward, and extremely poor discipline equates to losses...
