My trade on ETRM: Dug into some SEC filings and discovered that the CEO along with 3 other important company figures bought a sizable amount of shares at 2.05. On Friday (10/13) I entered on the first pullback at 2.00 on a strongly educated guess that ETRM would have a press release to start a run that day or beginning the following week. As expected, ETRM announced at 8:00 a presentation for an upcoming conference. The news was paired with bullish indicators (13EMA crossing 50DMA) and a pop in the price was inevitable. The chart setup and news was nearly identical to CYCC so I used 9/21 as a frame of reference for trading today. Why these two potentially great runs both got stuffed I still do not know but I am happy about locking in profits, onto the next trade!

Not that I haven't been holding myself accountable this whole year, but now I am doubling down on my self awareness as a trader. Not that I am overtrading or not playing great setups, I just don't take my profits when I have them. This has been a HUGE problem for me because I end up being right nearly 80% of my trades but my winning percentage doesn't show it due to my psychological inefficiencies while trading. I have had plenty of large gains slip away and many opportunities to shrink my loses by selling into a bounce but I simply get greedy. NO MORE!! WHEN I develop the ability to lock-in profits and cut losses I believe I will be a successful trader. I know learning this business is a never-ending process and I'm extremely grateful for this journey. My work ethic is there, I spend countless hours everyday reviewing my trades, scanning for new plays and studying DVDs and lessons, its time to really start executing. I wish everyone else luck on their journeys as well and hope to connect with more of you in the near future!
