I shorted this r/s as it broke key support but bounced hard and once it hit my risk I cut my losses. It finished up .40 from where I cut so my discipline was good. I've had pretty good discipline lately which is good but I keep taking losses. I need to be more patient about the plays I enter so I don't have to cut losses.
I chased this AH yesterday after big news of ripple paying $4.10 a share so I thought it would at least get there but it had a morning panic so I sold just to watch it bounce to $4.10 which was frustrating but it was good to be disciplined and not potentially hold the bag. My timing had been off lately and my discipline hasn't been rewarded but that's ok.
I shorted this on the morning panic bounce and was a little early but still a pretty good short. I held as it faded all day but AH they put out a pump press release about an upcoming conference so I covered for basically break even. Once the pumping is over I was consider reshorting. Good discipline here!
This was two different trades on a recent r/s stock but my mistake was shorting too early and my second mistake was not cutting my losses when I was too early. I lost about $1200 on the first trade and then shorted again on the backside and make a couple hundred of it back. Terrible discipline here!
I had a great plan and a great set up for a bounce short on this one but I didn't execute it well. As it fell fast I was looking to short the bounce at 4.40 but I got impatient and entered at 4.00. It went to 4.40 like I originally thought and then came down to the 3.90 where I covered and wasted a day trade to basically break even. Terribly executed trade for me on a perfect A+ set up.
The bounce short is my favorite pattern and I executed it pretty well here. This spiked back up to a key resistance level so I shorted it looking to cover back into support. I took the meat so a solid single. I am playing the bounce on these recent runners after they get crushed because they are safe plays and I can hold them overnight. Great trade here!
I went long overnight as it held support and was looking for a nice spike at open. It got rejected at yesterdays highs and I waited too long to sell. This stock has nice swings so I wanted to be patient but it didn't look like it would bounce anymore so I sold. It finished the day $2 under my sell so I did good.
