Roger that, what trading platform do you use if you don't mind me asking? With treating it as a 3k account do you factor commissions into your trades at all?

I use IB's trading platform. I don't really worry about commissions b/c with IB you can do per share commissions instead of flat rate. So with small positions it means not many shares, so a lot of of my trades cost less than $1

I gotcha, how do you usually scan for your watchlist? Sorry for all the questions I'm just trying to learn.

I look through percent gainers each night, choose the ones that I want to look at, analyze those and choose which ones to ignore or watch. Are you a Challenge / student? There should be video lessons on that
