[TimAlerts] it's only a .64% short float on $BWEN so it's around 500k shorts

[TimAlerts] theres <100k shares short on $BWEN

[TimAlerts] Lots of volume on $WFT but it looks like the news is only cooking the books to keep them afloat

@Palmer PM'd you earlier and thought I'd put it up here so I don't lose it since it's good advice: Palmer ? devask168 [private]:looks like the revenue missed the estimate, it's good to have both earnings and revenue(sales) be above the estimate...it's good to have the open be above or at the pre-market high with a volume surge along with opening above the daily resistance also...i think the volume surge and the opening price area is key..if it fades pre market that;s not good....they can pop later but the important thing is to have the 8:39AMPalmer ? devask168 [private]:price open strong, hold the gains throughout the day and then possible surge towards the close but again, EPS and Revenue need to beat the estimates to really get noticed
Soooo, you are correct. The Zacks earnings #'s are delayed somewhat so I was probably going by the first TOS news blip. There might have been something in the conference call such as weaker guidance for the next quarter that caused the stock to fade pre-market. My seeking alpha account won't let me log in for some reason to read that transcript
But, I am guessing that transcript might have been the cause of the fade...will check on that transcript later...
Nice post and nice profile picture too! Starting to see my errors through posts like these - thanks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbbB8zYM6Fk
@devask168 Thanks! I'm glad it helped you!
Got it!
Looking at CFMS and JWN (which in AH are at all time lows long term) I'm guessing you'll be watching these over the next few days for support and a dip buy.
If you find the time during the weekend I'd like to read what your strategy will be for these two. If I haven't said so before - I like your style!
It's so hard for me to wait for good entries...
Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'll keep on keepin' on as things develope. If anyone wants to add any other 'days ago' labels to the code all you would need to do is add def yesterdayvol2 = volume(period = ”DAY”)[2]; under the line of code with the [1] in it and then add another AddLabel(yes, "Y_Vol: " + yesterdayvol2, Color.light_gray); under that original line but remember...I am using this to easily see the volume on the 1 minute chart per the opening area so adding 2 days ago and 3 da
days ago might not be that relevant...
And so goes coding...So if you are using this you see that it is not working. This is because I did not take into account the Friday to Monday weekend gap. The code looks for the volume from the previous day which was Sunday so there is no volume to compare. Stnad by later for the updated version of this...
would make a great trader since she can thrash me at chess. Happy mothers day – enjoy your kids – they’re a lot nicer at this age :)
@devask168 yes my strategy is definitely different from Tim Sykes as he states he wants to teach his students to become self sufficient. I learned alot from him and found what works for me. I wasn't always good and buying breakouts found I lost more than I gained. I assessed the winning trades for me and went from there. Why try to perfect a strategy that doesn't work for me go with one that does.
@ArtOfWar Relative Strength Index here's a good explanation http://www.investopedia.com/terms/r/rsi.asp
Thank's for your post! I've recently had a big lose and I was wondering what I was doing wrong (as I can't dip buy for the life of me the way Tim does). So, I'm going back according to what is comfortable for me! I feel reassured...I thought I was the only one.
@Palmer the thanks goes to you man. The amount you put in to the communtiy is worth millions in itself. I'm pretty decent with web technology, VBA, Perl, Python, PowerShell so let me know if you need a hand with anything. Looking forward to your manual, my trades are really in dire need of help.
Help is on the way!...Gonna do my best to finish by the end of August.
@devask168 and should the period be there before the /scripts in <script src="./scripts/side_menu.js"></script> ???
Yup. Should have sorted it out for you - check your email.
