He now likes eTrade but will use whatever gives him shorts to borrow. When you have money you get lots of brokers. haha. I focus on going long so only need one broker (for now). Think he likes Speedtrader for the graphs.
I created a blog on OX. I'll get a vid done at some point. It does the job but has it's limits.
@bambam87 check this out man. Also check the other thread
struggling for time at present to get setup with working as fifo on 12hrs and limited wifi... This rnr Ill take a good look at OX and the blog Mark...

This week the market seems to be in the poops. Volume was down as trends went bearish. I learned a valuable lesson too: Follow what you know. Lots of talk about illegal shorting of CANF and the SEC jumping in. Everyone was crying "buy"! I bought some shares as the market turned but it didn't go anywhere and lost $40. I went against my instincts on this one and paid for it. Also learned that all those want-to-be guru's on Twitter can be full of BS. Still yet to find a guru that explains how to find charts properly too. Girlfriend and I played Hearthstone instead. :)

@Prestomango Hey Presto! You alive. Whats new man? Still trading? Just letting you know I've been trading a fair bit now and the OX commisions have dropped to $10 per trade ($20 for buy and sell). Did you get 2nd level working?
hey matey not alot of action here only done a few practise trades so far had found it was a bit expensive but this is great news. which country OX did you ring for customer service was it the american one?
Good to hear from you. Nah, I use Aussie but I tend to just email them. Supports not the best.

Trading bummed you out? Feeling stressed? Check out my cartoons!! Want a free pic? Send me details on what you want me to draw. http://instagram.com/fleshicon

I'm also new to IU and have been watching the DVDs. I'm AJ85 in chat. I think it's important to just find out what you're good at and just do that over and over again. There's a quote that goes "I'm no genius. I'm smart in spots, and I stay around those spots." Right now I think I'm going to be working on failed follow through momentum and late day fades. When you're done with the DVDs check out the webinars. I'm watching the one by Emil right now. See you around.
That's great man! Yep stick to what you know. I'm not a monthly member with IU though just have their DVD's. I'm unemployed so my funds are now at their limits. I'd like to study their daily vid's as I've been impressed with them so far. They do need to add more info on "finding stocks" though. A lot more.

@MarkAus I do plan to short, my only set back right now is that I am a full time student so its hard to focus on school and trading and work at the same time. I would love to trade options at some point I am fairly familiar with them but still not 100% comfortable with them yet. I think I might hold off until I finish school this December. Thank you for your input!
I was in contact with @ConnorAlerts . He is a guru on Profitly. Young guy and teaches students to trade part time. Send him an email if you're really keen to trade part time - connor@investorscorner.org

Plans for this week: Create a plan and run with it. My support and resistance study has been great but I failed to action any trades due to fear. I couldn't create a good Watchlist with a strategy attached either. This weekend I finally figured out how to make a plan which is a huge thing for me. I'll be trying it out this week. The IU video's have been very helpful so it's time to do a full week trading. Hopefully the market is kind (famous last words?).
... way I could have made close to $1000 but at least I didn't lose any trades. A good thing
Wed - 2am and I'm done. A good night and learned a lot. CANF - Traded 500 shares and lost -$40. I'm pretty happy with this trade though. I had a plan and it went well but I misjudged my losses and set my resistance lines too high. Had I done this right I would have not sold and made +$140. Know your losses in advanced!! Allows you to stick to a trade longer then you normally would and rules out emotions. Good lesson.
Thurs - Lots of opportunities tonight. Missed a heap too! Made another good trade but wasn't perfect. Entry wasn't as good as I wanted and commisions suck. All Buys ended with Higher Sells so not so bad. Need to learn to play Dips. Not buying many shares but it helps my confidence a lot.
Fri - Last post here. Tonight I fin "early" at 1:15am. Volume on stocks was slow tonight and because OX doesn't allow shorting under $5 (actually 6) Not much to do. I did buy on a dip, something I've been wanting to try and came out $20+. Happy with that. This week showed me I can do it. Those IU vids really helped.

Some interesting trade news tonight. $ASTI boomed due to earnings news which I totally failed to take advantage of until too late. Classic emotional trading at its best. I'm learning though. Still, I got out damn quick and was happy... until I saw the fee's OptionsXpress charged me. Holy cow turd. Nearly $200 taking a tiny loss into a big one. Funny enough I've been inquiring with eTrade on switching over so this just convinced me to do so. My % is getting worse but only because I fail to take advantage of the good setups. Need to trust my plans more!
Nah man I havn't heard of them. Personally I would stick to DVD lessons and books. Subscriptions and watchlists are fine if you have the skills to trade well. My 2 cents. At least with books and DVD lessons you can take your time and study at your own speed.
Turns out OptionsXpress are now giving me credit towards my bad trade. Their fee's were crazy and I'm getting back $160.
Oh.. Signed up = Put a waiting list.

am learning option now. it taking forever for me to understand
Let me know if this tut helped. I'd like to make a video which would be very helpful.
