GAIN: 3.49%, 11cts/share. Practice trade. Good trade. Planned ahead of time, go in after the breakout had a pullback, retested the support and held it. My objective was a lot higher, but the stock is moving slowly, struggling, and it is almost the EOD so i am going to play it safe and collect my gains. Not worth the risk holding it overnight
LOSS: 14.17%, 17cts/share. Practice trade. Not happy with this trade. I stuck to my plan, which is good, but I gave it too much time even when it was clear that it would not work. Need to learn to get out of trades when i see they are not working, no need to wait until the Stop Loss is taken out.
LOSS: 4.42%, 20cts/share. Practice trade. Tried buying the o/n gap up when it looked like it held hourly support, which it did. But the trade never really went anywhere. In fact the pattern I was looking for was hardly there, I actually forced the trade. Price hit my SL so I sold. It is good that I respected my SL, I stuck to the plan. The next step would be to start cutting losses BEFORE my SL is reached. It is pretty clear when a trade is likely not gonna work out.
LOSS: 4.45%, 22cts/share. Practice trade. I dip bought this stock too early (in fact Tim bought shortly after me, but about 10cts cheaper). Good job respecting the stop loss and sticking to my pattern. In retrospect, the one thing I know I should have done different is to go in at the HOURLY support. Only there. Instead I went in at a smaller support coming from a previous day, but I was not even able to identify from when exactly. Bad entry, but the rest of the trade was well managed.
GAIN: 1.88%, 9cts/share. Practice trade. Great entry. I went in after the price bounced on the HOURLY support. In fact Tim said that the mkt and NBEV were bouncing literally seconds after my entry. I sold half my position at 4.91 when the price had trouble and was more permissive with the second half. It tried to break 5 but it could not (perhaps that was my cue to get out). Instead I sold when it broke an intraday support at 4.87 for an average price of 4.87.
25cts/share gain. Practice trade. Breakout + pullback pattern following my entry rules, this trade was a lot easier to take on the 5min candle chart. My entry and my risk level proved to be correct, even if I was on the fence for a few minutes, but after that strength came back. I missed the opportunity to sell at my objective (was the HOD) because I was not fast enough. From now on it might pay to have a target order in place.
Breakeven. Practice trade. Again used the breakout + pullback entry system, and I was definitely safe. I got greedy when the stock got stuck at a resistance I had not seen (1min intraday) so I could have sold for a 3 o 4 cts/share gain, but instead the stock went back to my entry point so I got out.
10cts/share loss. Practice trade. Failed play, get out fast! Good job sticking to the plan. I am testing a way to get into breakouts + pullbacks that is giving me very solid results so far. I still need to get more experience with it before I trade bigger, but I am excited. Note: This same system told me to get in at 4.96ish earlier but I missed my entry b/c of my broker.
36cts/share loss. Practice trade. Bad emotional entry. I absolutely wanted to test the breakout + pullback pattern so I did not wait for a good opportunity to present itself. Instead I forced the trade. My stop loss was a lot closer, 18cts away, but the stock just dropped all of a sudden and I got caught. Good job cutting losses.
2cts/share gain. Small practice trade. Bought a gap down at support. Went in premarket because multimonth support and level 2 were holding, but this is not a good pattern and surely enough, it could not break 1.40 even though level 2 said it would. Saw problems for this stock to move, so I got out.
